I M Painting painted the majority of my daughter's downstairs after a total replumb of the house. They were prompt, courteous and did a fantastic job.

Their entire crew was great.Their quality of workmanship was wonderful and the desire of everyone involved was to please us in every asprct of the job, putting forth an extra effort in every area of the job. I would highly recommend them without question .

Good result on the interior painting requested. Our house looks great. Their preparation was good to see that things were done correctly. The crew were gentleman & aimed to please. My only comment was the finish was a 'bit rushed' and they packed-up and left for another job it seemed absent a bit of clean-up on bathroom surfaces etc. Overall a good experience and we would recommend their work.

The entire team form IM Paining took the right amount of time to do the job well. And I'm not saying they were slow. On the contrary, they did not rush through the project, resulting in quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

He called and let me know when he was coming, I love that about him. He did a great job with interior shutters. he was dressed nice and clean and you can tell he knew what he was talking about. You could tell he was going to do a good job.

Very professional and they really took care of us. There were a few hiccups but they made sure that everything was taken care of and to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend them and we definitely use them again

IM stuck to a tight timeline we gave them and polished off the project on time with no surprises. Bob made some good suggestions for project design. The carpenter they brought in was great. The painting team was excellent on detail and neatness.

They were on time. Also explained in detail how, what and why to answer any questions I had. Plus they were very neat and clean and very careful of my floors and furniture

I would recommend with reservations. Customer service was quick and responsive. Worker was timely but missed several cabinets, and then returned and still missed one cabinet. I am not going to have them out again. I'll just do the last cabinet front myself. The completed cabinets look nice, though! ...later: As a result of my ratings, the owner, Bob, called and emailed me. We exchanged emails with me explaining the missed cabinets. It my have been my error in communication, but I guess I assumed when you get cabinets refinished, you have to specify ALL the cabinets, not just one side of the kitchen and not just the doors. Not really meaning to be snarky, but Bob was more concerned with the rating than me being satisfied with the work. The estimator must have underestimated the time needed to complete the job, and then did not communicate the details of the job to the worker. If the estimate had included two days work, I would have been fine with that. But to contact me and imply that this was my fault and I should increase my ratings left me speechless...until now. So I gave an extra 1/2 star because the worker did a nice job, and subtracted 1/2 for customer service. Thank you.

They were thorough in examining the job such as review of the appropriate paint required. Took some rescheduleing due to the weather.

Scott at IM has been wonderful as well as the CREW. Punctual, Professional, Hard Working and have done an excellent 5 star job. My request was a little difficult and they have been very patient with me. I would absolutely hire them again!

Newport Beach, CA 5.0 star rating 7/17/2015 Of the 6 painters who came out to our house to submit their bid, only IM Painting took up the challenge. Not only did Bob Belhumeur (owner) delivered what he promised, the painter he sent did a very detailed, meticulous job, on schedule. With an architect mindset, I clearly laid out my requirements: spray and back-roll 2 coats (1st coat dry then apply 2nd coat) of Benjamin Moore Aura (@$66+ per gallon) on the entire house, except glass panes and roof tiles. Aura is a finicky paint to apply outdoor, especially spray-and-backroll on a dry summer day. Only the most seasoned, experienced painters dare to take up this challenge, yet charging competitively. Following is factual response of the other 5 painters upon learning my specifications: Cer__Pro Tustin: low $bid but no response after learning usage of Aura paint; Ka_ma Hou_e: average $bid but no response after learning usage of Aura paint; _enak: overestimated paint quantity by 2X (at least 40 gallons on 2200 sf 2-storey house); Slo_ne Painting: said 60 gallons (3X) of paint needed to paint house twice (his interpretation of 2 coats of spray-and-backroll); yet chose not to bid on this challenging project; Missi_n Viej_ Painting: $bid twice that of IM Painting + cost of paint. Bob's estimate was precise, honest; his knowledge/experience unparalleled. His $bid reasonable, his work - magnifique, ou~la~la ! Just remind Bob to bring a porta-loo for his crew and pair Luis, the meticulous painter, with a 'good' helper. Oui, c'est moi, aka Tim de Newport.

Painters arrived on-time each workday and cleaned up at the end of every day. They were careful and courteous. I would hire this company again and recommend them to people I know.

I contacted this company through Home Advisor. The owner came for the estimate. He acted like he wanted the job, explained the details of what would be done and why, and provided a written estimate and contract before he left. He showed pictures of various stages of the process from prior jobs. The preparation, process and clean up went just as he described. The cabinets turned out GREAT! We were happy with the entire process.

John really tries to sell the job but but falls short when his crew is unaware of his vision. The workman are unsupervised and I had to call John in a few times to clarify some specifics. The company has no sander dust extraction tools that other companies I interviewed use and they do not use positive ventilation. The did construct a tent around my kitchen but not before one of the workman brought in a can of spray paint and started touching up raw wood. The workman covered my garage with plastic sheeting when John said that they would build a containment tent. The wife was without use of the washing machine for a week. Because of the lack of dust containment paint dust was tracked everywhere the workman went. They used the downstairs bathroom and the microwave oven. The workman did not use positive ventilation breathing systems while painting and so they were high as kites all the time. The cabinets showed this. All the door and drawer edges were over sprayed and some were not done at all. When they hung the doors they forgot to put the rubber safety tabs back on the doors and all my stiles have screw intentions on them. All in all I think that IM painting needs to regroup. The company needs on the job supervision and they need to update their equipment for safety and the health of workers and also to avoid cross contamination with the house interior. One last thing that really got me steamed. The lead worker got into my upright tool box and took a screw driver to use to do something and left it on the garage floor. Most home owners are unaware of how these guys are really supposed to conduct themselves on a job. This your home and not a construction site. It should be managed as if you lived there. The use of loud mexican music and the use of your cooking equipment should be avoided. I would not hire this company until they grow up a little..

They did a very good job and were pleasant to have around. They tried hard to make us happy and did so. They were reliable and got the job done early. They did such a good job that we had them back for a second job of painting our patio cover.
