DOHENY PLUMBING

Horrible. Worst experience ever and I've remodeled several homes from top to bottom.
The plumber arrives to fix a leaky faucet in my kitchen. While repairing this faucet, he somehow manages to flood my kitchen when he breaks 3 - yes 3 - connections under my sink. So I ask him "how did these valves break and why were you even messing with the dishwasher connection"?  He says "that's plumbing sweetie". I'm not kidding. He says these valves were old (my house is 10 years old) and clearly we didn't exercise them. OK. The manager, Steve, supported this man's assessment but graciously offered to slightly reduce his hourly rate and let me have all these extra parts at HIS cost. It was not voluntary. I had to get furious with him to get these concessions. The dripping faucet cost me $346.00 and that was about half what they wanted to charge me.
The bottom line is, these guys are dishonest. If you read other reviews on Yelp, you'll see a pattern here.

We have used Doheny many times over the years and their level of professionalism, work and response time has always been excellent. They can fix any issue, big or small and do so promptly and at reasonable cost. They are highly recommended.

Over priced.

I've used them several times over the years. They have been here 3 or 4 times and I have been satisfied each time. I like them a lot. They are very professional and they show up on time. They seem to be pretty fine and they are good at troubleshooting and finding plumbing problems. Their prices are fair. I would recommend them. They are on my list for future needs.

The portion of piping coming from the street to my house and branching off to the outside sprinkler system had started a severe leak due to deterioration and damage apparently from roots of a couple of small but growing palm trees. I called Doheny on the morning of Friday, May 29 and they were able to come out later that day in the early afternoon. The area where the water main PVC line branches off into the house copper line and another branch to PVC lines supporting the outside sprinkler system was damaged and needed to be replaced. First, the area had to be dug out and damage assessed. Next the water supply to the house had to be cut off. The leak was so bad and the ground so saturated with water that we had to wait until the next day for the water level to go down. Saturday, 5/30 they came back to replace some lines & ftgs with new ones. The bad thing was that I was without water to the house for 2-days. The repairs appeared to work for a while but on Sunday, 5/31 one of the pipe connections came loose so I had to call Doheny back. The water line feed to the house was cut off again and final repairs were made to the PVC fittings. The water pressure was turned back on and things worked just fine.

THEY WERE ON TIME, BUT THEY WERE NOT VERY HELPFUL IN EXPLAINING WHAT WAS GOING ON WHEN YOU ASKED THEM A QUESTION. IT DID NOT TAKE THEM VERY LONG TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM AND FIX IT. IT DID TAKE THEM A WHILE TO GET OUT HERE ONCE I GOT IN TOUCH WITH THEM.

THIS WAS A SOMEWHAT DIFFICULT JOB. THE BUILDER PUT THE ORIGINAL SINK IN UNDER THE GRANITE AND IT WAS DIFFICULT TO GET IT OUT. THEY WERE ABLE TO DO IT AND DID A CLEAN JOB.
