contacted PCS of Bay Area on January 27th 2014 in order to clean and restore my home after an infestation of carpet beetles.  I  had received a mass mailer of theirs advertising their cleaning and restoration services at a 35% off discount. I had been looking for a company that could deep clean every nook and cranny of my carpets and entire home to get  rid of  any residual bugs left after an exterminator treated my home. As Sonia  the manager came to my home  to evaluate my situation, it seemed that whatever area of my home that I was thinking about either repairing or cleaning  her company could take care of it. Things like caulking worn areas around my bathtubs and sinks, sealing some of the grout on my kitchen counter, cleaning the carpet dryer vent & air ducts, clean & sanitize my windows and window frames,

dispose of the rat droppings in my garage, even wipe down my vaulted ceilings, walls, my furniture and all horizontal surfaces in my home. I was especially glad that they could remove the rodent droppings in my garage, as

my exterminator explained there's a certain protocol that must be followed to remove this highly toxic and dangerous matter. Sonia offered to provide that service as well. The biggest selling point she made was the fogging process they use. She explained that this fog kills any mold, bacteria and other pathogens. She explained that they use a machine that scrubs the air and then sucks out all the bad air replacing it with fresh clean air. Afterwards she said they wipe down all the walls, furniture, and all horizontal surfaces. I asked if the wipe down cleans all the walls and she said "of course" as if that was obvious.

In February 2014 her 2 technicians Alex & Nelson arrived with Sonia and we went through area by area explaining to them what work was to be done. They also had a list of tasks for day 1, 2, & 3. During the orientation I specifically pointed out the grime and mold around all my window frames and sills. I also showed them where caulking & grout work needed to be done, etc. I also showed them the 3 areas of rodent droppings in my garage.

Upon my return home I uncovered various areas of unfinished or poorly done work. On discovering this, I sent Sonia a text message explaining that the windows hadn't been cleaned, mirrors and furniture had a film on them, as well as many dusty areas. Also, I saw that the upstairs carpets hadn't been cleaned. I showed Sonia all the mirrors were covered with a cloudy film, and there was dust, grime, and some mold on several of the walls. I told her that it was my understanding that wipe down mean't clean. It was then that she informed me that they were not a janitorial service. I told her that it was my understanding that wipe down mean't clean. I was very confused, as the cleaning part was my main motivation for hiring them in the first place. Approximately 1 later the caulking work they had done on the inside of my bathtub and tub area started to crack. Discovering yet another demonstration of shoddy work, I sent pictures to Sonia. This back and forth of my finding subpar or unfinished work ensued over the next few weeks. I would uncover sub standard work, expressed my dissatisfaction, and sent photos. They in turn would make attempts to fix their work. When I discovered the rodent droppings hadn't been removed, I asked the technician Nelson why it was still there. He proceeded to put on a pair of gloves, pick up the droppings and throw it in my trash! Then he swept up the remainder with my new broom. Having researched the health risks involved with even breathing the air close to rodent fecal matter, I couldn't believe my eyes!

At this point I had already paid them 3/4 of the total bill with the final payment due the following month.

The only consolation they gave me was a $200 credit for the windows when they charged me $450! Then all of the sudden Sonia asked for the final payment which we had originally agreed would not be due for another month. I questioned her about suddenly changing the terms of our agreement just because I had complained about the still filthy windows. I didn't allow her to pressure me for the final payment, because I wanted to make sure all the re-work would be competed to a reasonable standard. Having been more than patient with them, the final straw for me was on the day they came to fix the caulking, Alex the technician pressured me again for payment. When I explained that it wasn't due until next month. He told me that Sonia wanted payment and a signature today! Feeling quite uncomfortable and pressured, I post dated a check with the inserted written contingency that the caulking held up. The next day when the caulking began to ripple and peel I cancelled the.check. Now they have filed a mechanics lien on my home for $590. This was my personal experience with this company. My kitchen, living room and the hallway had quite a bit of water and as I am not a huge fan of smelling like a damp bunker I cleaned up as much as I could and called PCS as recommended.

They showed up shortly with all of the equipment and quickly got the water issues resolved.

We have been using their services for several years.

I definitely felt it was important for me to PERSONALLY give feedback with the exceptional service that I have experienced with their team!

We use them on a regular basis (at least monthly, sometime more frequently). They are all around AWESOME - efficient, reliable, and competitively priced! They will leave your room(s) fresh and clean!

They make very useful suggestions for those "problem areas" needing cleaning or restoration, and the manager Sonia is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure her customers are satisfied! Just by speaking with them, you will find their team to be very knowledgeable about this line of work, and everyone I have met, has a positive "can do" attitude.

If you have something that needs a professional cleaning or restoration services, definitely give PCS of the Bay Area a call. ++++HIGHLY recommend them, and will continue to use them for our future needs! Was this review ??Useful  Funny  Cool Flag reviewMario P.San Francisco, CA0 friends2 reviewsShare reviewComplimentSend messageFollow Mario P.5/18/2013Outstanding customer service and friendly staff! Was this review ??Useful  Funny  Cool Flag reviewPage 1 of 11 other review that is not currently recommendedBusiness info summaryEdit business infoWork here? Claim this businessHoursAdd business hoursMore business infoS R.First to reviewPeople also viewedACS - Advanced Cleaning Services36 reviews
