This project went great once we got past the unexpected rains.
Roger was great to work with; he measured and gave me a drawing of what he had planned.  Roger and I worked together to modify the plan and come to an agreement on a final product.  He was great and you can tell he really enjoys his work.  He was just as excited as I was to plan the project.
I met with 3 other paver contractors after my first meeting with Roger to get additional bids.  Roger was by far the best out of the 3 from the first impression view point, the bidding and from an overall project concept.  He was by far the best one that really got what I wanted to do and made recommendation that would save on cost and make the property look even better.
The other 3 gave me bid and high level drawings and told me they would be modified after they received the approval or the job.  Not Roger he worked with me to get what I wanted so he could modify the bid.
Like I said we had a few issues with weather which delayed the project, but once the crew got started they got the job done within the time frame that was promised.  His crew is also great; very nice and considerate.
I had also wanted to install artificial turf but due my budget had to delay that project.  But I am going to do the turf in a few months and I will use Roger for the turf job too.
It is such a pleasure to do business with someone that is excited about what he does; Roger is wonderful.

Roger Hill personally handled the project from design to selection of pavers with us. He gave us the most competitive price. He over saw the project personally and finished it ahead of the committed date. It was a pleasure working with him. We would recommend him to everyone.

I have a properly graded driveway that is beautiful. In addition, my front walkway and the bottom of my back steps were tied into the project for a more complete look. French drain and tie-ins to down spouts installed. Roger thought ahead and put in a water and eletrical sleeve that runs across my driveway, in the event I either want drip water line or lines along the length of the driveway. The existing electrical conduit out to my carriage house had to be removed, since it was barely below the surface. Again, Roger had a very good electrical sleeve with stub outs installed so my electrician can come in later and rerun the electrical.

My 1894 house now looks complete. The driveway is not only functional, but the artistic attention to detail is astounding. The outcome far surpassed my wildest expectations! Thank you Roger Hill and Hill Construction Co.

Things I did that worked well:

• I did research ahead of time so that I could have intelligent conversations with the contractor
• I  listened to the each of conrtractors' advice and then researched that advice
• I found 4 great contractors, narrowed it down to 3 and compared the 3 bids side-by-side
• I did not choose Roger Hill and Hill Construction on just one factor, but several.
