I went shopping with my friend for her house and this house, the one she bought, was just coming on the market. They negotiated a contract quickly and the house closed. I was the lender on this transaction and it all happened so smoothly. My friend of 30 years is so completely happy. The house was traditionally decorated and with the panoramic views my friend wanted to update the finishes, including the flooring, both bathrooms, landscaping including an enlarged deck and gas fireplace. Laura referred all the tradespeople for her projects. The house is even more stunning because of the high quality referrals from Laura. Laura has kept in contact with my friend and continues to supply her with real estate related referrals and advice. When you work with Laura you have access to her entire network of quality suppliers. The list is endless! Laura approached me after she noticed that I was fixing up my father older home in San Carlos. I was getting pretty weary of Real Estate agents. All of them seemed to just want to list the home...they didn't really seem to care about how I was feeling. Laura sat down with me and asked me..."What do YOU want to net". Prior to that, I was just thinking I'd rent. So, I shot out a number....and she said...let me see if I can crunch the numbers and do that. I said...ok..."you have the Christmas special". 30 days, no MLS, no ads, just private showings. No one wants to show their home during Christmas...but it was my dad's and he had passed away and no one was living there. I was worried it might get robbed and I live in Petaluma. I needed to sell it. She showed it during that time and had a buyer just after the New Year. AMAZING!!! It was a relatively easy transaction. She walked me through the inspections...and even a faulty sewer pipe that I needed to have replaced. She has a whole crew of people to call for any kind of repair...but she doesn't make you or intimidate you into doing un-necessary work. My father's home was in a great location...but in AS IS condition. I didn't have to go overboard to fix it up. Laura is a professional through and through. She knows her business and how to navigate people through the difficult and often emotional waters of selling and buying. The whole thing was emotional for me, being a family home...but I felt that she got me through a very tough time and I got what I wanted from the house. Great experience!! The house sold for over $1 million!
