Excellent! He uses good folks and sub contractors, he does very good quality work and almost quickly. The price was very fair.

Tony Rogers, Dunrite's owner, responded quickly to our inquiry, visited the site to see the scope of work, and promptly provided an itemized bid. The work proceeded like clockwork, with no delays and no drama.  The subcontractors Dunrite hired to lay tile and flooring did very fine work. Laying the tile for the bathroom floor required some very precise work where the floor, bathtub, and the front edge of the tub surround met in the corners; the tile setters were true craftsmen in how precisely they cut the tile to fit.  Likewise, we were very happy with the vendors Dunrite recommended  for large mirrors and quartz countertops; they delivered their items exactly as specified and on time. Dunrite’s painters did a meticulous job on walls and trim, most notably in a  living/dining room with a  vaulted ceiling. The Schrock cabinetry we ordered through Dunrite fit perfectly, and we appreciated the opportunity to configure the size of the sinks and drawers to best meet our needs.   All the workmen were polite, accommodating, and on-task.   The owner was available by phone or email throughout.  His bids and bills were very transparent, unlike some remodeling companies that wanted to bid the entire job, with no item-by-item explanation of costs.  He let us know in advance when we needed to be on site for a particular installation.  We appreciated his straightforward communication throughout the process.  We hired a contractor because we wanted someone who could identify good subcontractors and coordinate the work flow; Dunrite was highly satisfactory on both counts.  We love our “new” home and would not hesitate to use Dunrite Construction again.

I am not very happy with them because some of the things won't get done. They company that they subtracted the job to doesn't do construction. They do floors. When they moved the refrigerator out, we discovered there was fake wood in there. We wanted it taken out to see if there were rotten boards underneath. The other company couldn't do it because they don't do construction. They never took the dishwasher out from under the sink. I thought that they would have taken the dishwasher out and looked underneath since it was the reason the kitchen flooded. They took advantage of the fact that most of it was being paid for by my insurance company.
Response from DUNRITE CONSTRUCTION
"We did not remove the dishwasher because there was no reason to. So much time had gone by from the time the dishwasher leaked to when we actually did the repairs, that the floor was already dry. We tested the floor with moisture meter and determined it was dry. We originally provided the insurance company with an estimate that included the removal and re-installing of the dishwasher and after completing the repairs, we refunded this cost to the insurance company because it was not done. The refrigerator sat on a piece of plywood and the insurance company would only replace the Vinyl Composition Floor Tiles (VCFT) that were damaged. We did not remove the refrigerator from the kitchen and did not include the removal and resetting of the refrigerator in our estimate to the insurance company because there was no VCFT to be replaced. The homeowner tried to have my flooring contractor remove the fridge, remove the plywood under the fridge and install VCFT for free, which he refused to do. We’ve been doing this for a long time and we are a preferred contractor by USAA, Firemens Fund, The Hartford, and many more insurance carriers for a good reason. We are honest, hard working guys that go the extra mile to help our clients restore their homes to pre-loss condition. We get the job DUNRITE."
