Everything was fine. I was not in a rush and it took a little longer that I expected, but I told them when I dropped them off, I was NOT in a hurry.

Bottom line: They took longer than they said, they charged more than their written estimate, the work was flawed, and they did not return the material we wanted. I called and left two messages asking for the material and for them to call back, but they did not return either call. From a distance, the sofa looks fine. Close up, there are flaws that should not have come from a professional shop. Details: We placed our order 6/17/08, received a written estimate for $1435 and paid $700 down. After several weeks I called to check on progress, they said they were working on it. I again reminded them of the fabric we wanted back. On 6/29 we got a call saying the springs had to be retied and that would cost an additional $145.  (The actual charge was $204). The sofa was delivered 7/23, and we paid for the balance due. When I asked for the fabric they brought in a folded piece. When I unfolded it about a week later, I found a worn, soiled piece of fabric from the channels on the inside back of the sofa. Areas of pristine fabric that had been tucked between the channels alternated with thread-bare, soiled areas from the exposed fabric of the channels. It was completely unusable. Over the next few weeks I called twice to ask for the good fabric, but I received no reply. I did not mention the quality issues or persist with my calls, which was a mistake on my part. I didn't have the time to deal with them, and I didn't want the inconvenience of having the sofa removed for another unspecified length of time. Again, my mistake. As to the quality of the work, major efforts had been made, but there were flaws that should have been caught and corrected before delivery: mismatched seams, completely redesigned pillows, and errors in the channels. Patterns were perfectly matched on the channels and the pillows. But on the front of the sofa below the pillows there should be a single piece of material that goes along the entire front.  Instead, they pieced this with unmatched patterns at the seams. So right in front of the sofa there is an inexcusable example of poor quality work. On the top of the channels, there were several extra pleats that should not have been there. The pillows were completely reshaped instead of adding 1/2" to the width as we had asked. They had cut scallops into the back of each pillow which were designed to fit up against each of the channels on the back of the sofa...a lot of extra work from them and a very nice touch. But the channels don't fit into the scallops, so the effect is lost.  The front of the pillows were shaped to wrap around the carved wood frame, hiding it and breaking the line of the sofa's major design element. This also made the pillows deeper, so the sofa is less comfortable for petite people now. As for the retied springs -- I have no way of telling whether or not they were actually retied, but they still "pop" from time to time.

I am very satisfied. They are now going to do a chair. They took a bit longer than I thought but that is OK. There was one mistake on pricing and we settled it easily.

They were very good. They came quickly for the estimate. We provided the fabric, and they did a great job. The work was done on time and delivered as promised. When we called them back because of a small seam issue, they were quick to come and take the chair and returned in finished.

SELECTION OF FABRICS WAS EASY.  SERVICE WAS FAST AND GOOD WITH THEIR PICKING UP OF THE FURNITURE AND DELIVERING THE FINISHED JOB  ON TIME. THE WORKMANSHIP IS VERY GOOD.
