They should have more clarity with pricing. The installer was talented but his bedroom manners left something to be desired. He was very skilled but condescending. The price was close to the competitors. It ended up being more expensive but we had to have a lot of work done with the subfloor. The sales guy was very professional but the installer that came was a B. I'd give A for the sales guy and B for the installer. I would go to them again. The pricing seemed reasonable on buying the actual wood. The installer was very skilled but challenging to work with. If your floors need a lot of work in terms of leveling out a subfloor, they have very skilled people but they won't necessarily be pleasant to deal with. You'll be happy in the end with the quality of what they did.

Very easy to work with and the installation was smooth and efficient.  Would definitely use them again in the future.

From the first contact with Jim until the last room was laid, we were very pleased with Conklin Brothers. Not living in this area but helping out my parents, I consulted Angie's List. This is where I found the great reviews on Conklin Brothers. My need was immediate. I was bringing my father home on hospice. Within one week, the carpet was  measured, ordered and laid. I was so impressed with the value and timely response I asked Jim to come out and do the little cottage. Another great job with excellent results. Thank you Jim

Luis and Hugo came and moved furniture and installed the carpet on Monday,Sept 30, 2013.  They worked in a very orderly and knowing fashion, but were attentive to any questions we might have. 
Jim Kiddle phoned on Friday, Oct 4, 2013 to ask how the installation went and did I have any questions.

They were fast, professional, did a great clean-up and price was great for super quality.

Prior to installation, Jim stopped by my house twice to measure.  He also made it clear to my contractor that the floor needed attention before the carpet could be placed on top of it.  My contractor did what Jim requested!  On installation day, Jim met his installers at my house (which proves to me how much he cares) they were on time.  Jim made certain the crew knew what to do.  I spoke with his installers and they were very nice gentlemen.  If you want the job done on time, within budget and professionally HIRE THEM!!!   

Arrived on time, did a great job and left the place very clean and neat.

The company was responsive and easy to reach.  I had the same sales representative from the time I called asking for information, to the person who came to my home to give me an estimate.  Everything was written clearly and all my questions answered.   Their own employees came to my house to install the carpet, not a sub-contractor.  They were polite, punctual and neat, and the work done in a timely manner.  I would definitely use this company again.apr

Jim Kittel was my main contact and he impressed me when I met him at the store. He did not try to pressure me into buying the most expensive carpet, after hearing what I wanted. He let me take home 5 samples and came over the next evening to do an estimate.
I don't know how the price compares to other companies because this is the only bid I obtained. I liked Jim and the reputation of the company as well as the quality of the carpet.
His team showed up as scheduled on 4Mar2013 and Jim came along to walk them through my townhouse, which has 4 flights of stairs, 2 walk-in closets, and a carpeted bathroom. Some of the rooms are a bit oddly-shaped as well. His foreman, Adrian, was very courteous and pleasant. They finished the job in one and a half days, ahead of schedule. They took great care not to let my cats out of the laundry room (very important to me). They cleaned up well, although there was a fine layer of dust throughout the house.
Jim called at the end of the second evening to see how it all was, which I thought was very professional. I mentioned that I had found a few scuff marks that I hadn't noticed when I had done the walk-through with Adrian. He assured me that Adrian would come back to fix these areas. Adrian came back as soon as the schedule opened up and was very apologetic about the marks and explained how they happen and he fixed them with some touch up paint (I had just had the walls painted). I thought he did a very nice job.
The whole team was great and asked if they had put things back where I wanted them (furniture) and were professional and courteous. I would absolutely recommend and use them again.
I am thrilled with the carpeting and have received several compliments already. My cats like it, too. :-)

I worked with Geoff at Conklin Bros and he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products.  He let me take samples from the store to my home so that I could see how the colors worked in the various lighting in my home.  Geoff also came to my home to measure and give me an estimate for the project.  His price was higher than another company that I felt offered a similar product, but when I told Geoff I was thinking of using the other company, he said he would talk with his manager to see if they could match the price.  They did, and so I contracted with them to do the work.  The installers showed up on time and began work.  They were hard workers and finished the upstairs the first day.  Adrian came the next day to carpet the stairs.  I'm very happy with the outcome.
