Description of Work: Lubricated and repaired an antique clock. They took exactly as long as they said they would - 6 weeks. So not fast, but I was warned in advance, and was prepared to wait for their knowledge and professionalism.

 + -1 moreThey really seemed to know what they were doing and fixed it. There was some problem when I brought it home and they readily took responsibility and took care of whatever it was. They also gave me advice about my other grand father clock which I had never been there before. I was told it was necessary to have it cleaned once a year and they told me absolutely not, in fact it could be harmful. That's not really in their interest so I appreciated that. I definitely felt confident about them and would go back and recommend them.

 + -1 moreIn 2008 I brought my antique clock in for an estimate for cleaning, tuning and refinishing the oak cabinet. I did not know what the background on the clock was and they gave me all of the information on the age and kind of clock it was. They were very helpful and I decided to have the work done on it. They did inform me that it would be about a year and half for them to get the work done. I saw the inventory of clocks they had so I felt they knew what they were doing. About a year and a half later I picked up the clock and was thrilled to have this family heirloom back to enjoy. I could not be happier with the care and results and it was worth the wait. If turnaround time is not an issue, I would highly recommend them. It is a family run business and it is obvious they love doing this work.
Description of Work: My Seth Thomas antique mantel clock had not been keeping very good time and it had never been cleaned or tuned since I owned it and it had been given to me over 35 years ago.

Description of Work: We have purchased antique clocks from this skilled artisan for about twenty years. (They are the much coveted retirement gift for our long service employees.) They have a wonderful selection of antique clocks on the walls of the shop already repaired and ready for purchase. We also own several antique wall clocks that have needed service. Both the repaired ones and the refurbished ones have been cleaned and restored to perfect operation. They have all kinds of parts. Because they are so much in demand, there is a slight delay to get a repair done so they contact you when they can schedule your work. The clocks always come back with full instructions on operation and maintenance.
