Adan Plumbing and Heating

When our laundry sink backed up on a Friday evening and then the kitchen sink backed up as well, we knew we were going to need a plumber. Our neighbor recommended Mark Adan and gave us his number. He took our call at about 6:30p, listened to our description, and suggested that he come out at around 10a the next morning (Saturday). He told us he would call when he was on his way.
Mark called at about 9:45a as promised and estimated he would be there in about half an hour. It actually took him about 45 minutes. He looked over the situation and suggested that he clean from the farthest cleanout. I was already going to suggest that so we readily agreed. His written estimate for the job was $250, with a warning that additional charges would apply if he needed to snake from an additional cleanout. We also asked him to seal a cleanout on our garage floor and to remove the drain plug from a bathroom tub, and he took care of both of those tasks for no additional charge.
Mark seemed to have some minor troubles getting the snake to feed at a couple points, but eventually succeeded and cleared the clog. The blockage was approximately 80 to 90 feet from the cleanout port, so it was quite a ways in. He had us run water to flush the line as he was withdrawing the snake.
Several things impressed me with Mark. The first was that he meticulously cleaned up the work site, wiping down our exterior wall with cleaner and vacuuming up sludge that had splashed out from the cleanout. The second was the care with which he treated his tools, carefully cleaning them before storing them in his truck. He was very courteous and didn't blink an eye at our request not to wear uncovered shoes in our house. Our experience with him was extremely professional and we would not hesitate to call him again.
