We have been members of Angi's for many years. I am posting this review as a warning to others who trust this site finding quality companies to work on their homes and possessions. I got a message to call At Bay Appliance Repair because I scheduled a warranty repair for our GE French Door Refrigerator via GE's website. The woman I spoke to only wanted to schedule the repair to suit her a) despite the fact that the confirmation they got from GE specified a date and time range 12 days into the future and b) regardless of my reiterating that my availability was non-extant until that time. If I could give them a negative value for this review I would - I went back to GE and got a much more reputable company to handle the repair as and when requested.

The freezer section of this side-by-side refrigerator was showing temperature swings between -3 and +13. GE said they could come in a week. We called some top rated Angie's list providers and they did not want to come work on this "high-end" appliance. Bay Appliance Repair was suggested by one of them. We called and scheduled an appointment for the next day. Jon came on time and took apart the inside of both sides and said there did not seem to be anything wrong with the mechanical parts, freon, etc. He wiped everything down and reassembled it efficiently. He vacuumed the fan and coils in the back. He said the only thing likely to be wrong with it after checking everything else was the computer part - the motherboard. At that point we could have said thanks much and paid him the diagnosis fee of 99 dollars but we felt that if there was a problem starting after six years perhaps this would be a good time to change that. He said fine and called to make sure the right part was available. He immediately drove to the parts supplystore, picked it up and installed it. The part was  $250 the labor 150 but the "diagnosis" charge was applied toward the labor charge. It was a very reasonable charge for lots of professional labor. Jon explained everything and was patient and not pressuring us. I think he was surprised that we chose to get the motherboard changed in advance of more problems. He left our home pristine. The refrigerator took almost 12 hours to stabilize at the new temperatures but now works perfectly.

I contacted at bay appliance on 9/224/15 because my refrigerator was not cooling.  The girl who answered initially said she could not give me an appointment until monday. When I explained that all the food in my refrigerator would be spoiled by then she said she could squeeze me in on friday 9/25/15 between 1-5 pm.  I told her I was going to use the Angie's List deal that was being offered.  She said to go ahead and pay for it in advance and then she would schedule my appointment.  I asked if she would then call and confirm my appointment.  She said yes.  I received no call back, so I emailed the company this afternoon to see if my appointment was still valid.  I received no reply.  So I paid $80.00 for nothing.  I am calling my credit card company to cancel the transaction.  I am also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against At Bay Appliance , and also Angie's List (for selling non-existent services.)  Do not buy any of Angie's so-called "deals", and definitely don't use the services of At Bay Appliance.!!!!!!!!!!

Our experience with Bay Appliance was great from start to finish. Kashawndra contacted me shortly after I reached out for help and we were able to setup an appointment in a couple of days since this wasn't an emergency repair. The technician Jon showed up on time and diagnosed the problem fairly quickly. I decided not to do the repair because the wine cooler was around 10 years old and probably not worth fixing but Jon was up front with me about the possibilities. I will definitely use Bay for my next appliance repair.

It was not that good. Actually, their machine didn't work and they ended up not charging me. It was kind of a waste of time since they didn't have the right attachment to clean the duct. But they seem professional.

Bay Appliance had an appointment at a time that was convenient for me, and the service person showed up right on time. He diagnosed two problems and made what we felt was a reasonable recommendation. Due to the age of our range, he found (while doing some searches on our behalf) that parts are very rare and thus quite expensive. The parts and repair costs would have cost us about $200 less than purchasing a very nice ($800 price range) new oven, so we did that instead. All well worth the very reasonable $65. I would definitely hire them again.

The washing machine issue was especially complicated and required ordering a part from the manufacturer. Our technician explained the problem and the steps involved to solve it in a professional and easy-to-understand way. Overall, they did a great job fixing both problems. I'd recommend them.

So far they are very unprofessional and rude, to say the least!!! I asked specifically to send someone who could fix sub zero refrigerators & after waiting 3 days and giving me a 3 hour window they sent s very rude, insolent tech out who could not fix a sealed system, which all sub zeros are!  He sneered at me when I asked him to put on booties.  He wrote on a tag for me to sign " refrigerator has a problem - with sealed system.  This was after "telling" to empty the entire refrigerator all over the counters, which was horrible.  He them looked at for 3 minutes and closed up his tool box to leave, since he cannot do the job.  He will refer someone else.  He also told me that he has a sore back and works for a living - implying I might not (?).  He did not bring protection to put down his tools, clothes he took off, or protection for my hardwood floors when he needed to put the entire refrigerator shelves and drawers down somewhere.  This 31 year old guy's name is Jon.
Now they will bring someone else back today, with another 3 hour window, who knows sub zeros and will analyze the problem and then order parts to return a third time.  I have rescheduled two business meetings, and missed one -- all very important.  So far they get a D-.

I do apologize for inconvenience that we had take all the food out of you refrigerator but this is the nature of properly diagnosing the failure with your Sub Zero refrigerator . You have a problem with sealed system and it has to be repaired by EPA certified technician . You don't know if we have to come back for the 3rd time its just a s assumption . I'm Positive that will be able to repair your unit in the second visit . We offered you EPA tech same day with in the same window that you waited for the first tech . You declined it ."

Was satisfied that the fridge worked. 
 Not happy with the $95. for visit charge and that he tore off the cardboard cover on the back of the fridge rather than take the time to  disconnect the fasteners.Overall,. a bit shady for my taste.
Would not recommend using that individual within the company again.

It's not that great, he came to evaluate it then came another time to fix it one time but after that it still wasn't fixed and so he had to come another time and the second time he came, it's free of charge. He was really nice and good but ideally he would have fixed it all in one go.

They were awesome. Their prices were very reasonable, were very responsive, on time and they did work at like tent house without no elderly but I didn’t have to worry. I knew what was going to happen before they got there and it was just good. Their price was very reasonable.

I called Sam on a Wednesday afternoon. I was having a problem with an old Maytag washing machine. It was making noise in the spin cycle. He was available and came out within the hour. He checked it out and found the cause of the problem. The bad news is the part is no longer available. His advise was to use the machine until it "dies". Probably another five years (I hope). I appreciate his honesty. He doubled checked the part and called the next day to confirm it was not available. I would definitely call Sam again when another appliance goes "belly up". Thank you  Angies list for pointing me in the right direction.
