Our kitchen sink had started draining slowly over the weekend, and on Tuesday evening it stopped draining at all.  (And in fact, the water started pooling in the dishwasher without us realizing, until it started pouring out onto the floor.)  Ariel came out promptly on Wednesday morning and snaked out the drain.  While he was working on it, just from the feel of what the snake was doing, he predicted that when it came back up, it was going to be covered with dirt, because he believed the problem was a break in the pipe.  He was correct on that prediction, and told us that while the sink should run now, it will block up again soon.  He took various measurements and provided an estimate on two different ways to deal with the damaged pipe (completely replacing it, or routing around it).  We're working on getting a "second opinion" quote, since it's a fairly elaborate, expensive project either way, but we may have him back in a week or so to do the additional work.  We've had a variety of other projects done by Ariel before (including putting in a gas line for our gas dryer), and have always been satisfied.

The landlord at our new apartment let us bring in our own washer and dryer that we had bought when we were in a previous house.  Unfortunately, between when we signed the lease and when we moved in, he decided  to partition the shared garage of the duplex house, leaving our side of the garage without access to the existing gas fixtures.  So we got Ariel to come out, plan out a way to get gas where we needed it, and run the pipes.  He was able to come out and do an estimate the day I called him, and then came back and did the work a few days later after I'd cleared it with the landlord.  Everything went smoothly, and the dryer works fine.

I first got a quote from them. They did what they said they would. The job was well done.

Ariel was very helpful in quickly addressing an (after hours) work request, at no additional premium. He was courteous, arrived in under 20 minutes, clean (i.e.: observed that everyone else removed their shoes in the house, and so did so himself as well without me having to ask), and explained what he was doing as he was doing it so that next time around, I could potentially do it myself. I would highly recommend him to others.

I moved into a house that the landlady acquired in a foreclosure sale. It has problems, which she's willing to pay for, but is having me deal with the administrative. She had prior experience with Ariel and referred him for plumbing work. We needed to replace the water heater because it was about half the size needed for a duplex with six people, and had been installed by an amateur using substandard equipment. We also had him put in our new dishwasher, and gas lines for dryers upstairs and down; we already had gas stoves, and gas dryers are less expensive to run than electric ones. He was very friendly, and did excellent work, though I do wish he had taken care of more of the patching/spackling in areas where he had to drill or break into walls; we have to get a separate handyman for that. Also, after doing gas work on a Friday, which required turning off the gas, he forgot to light the furnace pilot light; we had no heat for a couple days. He came back Monday morning, for free.
