Greg Shaw was the local contact/salesperson/job supervisor (in the Lake Arrowhead area) for the Diamond Fence Co, and it was he, and his local installation team, to whom I give all the credit for having done such a great job. My enthusiastic praise and recommendation without reservation is limited to only projects that Greg supervises, since I cannot know how well other teams, working elsewhere that the Diamond Fence Co contracts, perform. We first met and I explained what I needed/wanted for the fence, showing him where I wanted it as well as what requirements I needed -- that it not only had to keep my grandchildren from the precipitous edge of our yard but also that it had to be built without any gaps that my cat could squeeze through or underneath (he's old, a bit overweight, and somewhat arthritic, so I didn't worry about his climbing up over the fence). It wouldn't be easy for the crew because the area was uneven, so the fence had to follow the contour of the ground, be buried at the bottom to prevent my cat from crawling underneath, and also terminate at opposite ends of my house with some irregular concrete structures. I also asked for both a single gate at one end and a double gate (one that could open to a double width, for landscaping machines) at the other end. I also asked him to submit, on my behalf, the proposal to the very strict, local architectural committee for the permit. For this, he had to negotiate on my behalf to achieve an acceptable plan for the fencing. Having received the permit, his local crew (2 men) promptly went to work first laying the colored (per local codes) support poles in concrete on one day; and a few days later, they returned and installed the matching-colored chain link fence and gates. These men did a superb job, ensuring that there were no "cat sized" gaps anywhere (including the bottom edges) and the outcome looks spectacular! The crew were also incredibly polite, professional, and worked diligently all day long; and they cleaned up afterwards on each day. You couldn't ask for more conscientious workers, and you would really want guys like them for any project! So I offer, totally on my own initiative (Greg didn't ask me to write this), to recommend Greg and his crew (employees of Diamond Fence Co.) without any reservation for any fencing job in his sales area (Lake Arrowhead, and perhaps beyond as well - contact Greg and ask what other areas he covers). And I also nominate him for the highest honors on Angie's List!
Description of Work: Built a colored (brown) chain link fence around our backyard, consistent with the local HOA's strict codes, that provided both protection for our yound grandchildren to play without the risk of falling down the steep edges of our yard, as well as also effectively confining our pet cat from wandering off to go exploring and therefore falling prey to local coyotes and occasional bears and mountain lions who also frequent the area.
