Ted (and his brother Wayne) assessed our home's exterior prior to painting it and determined that we really only needed to paint two sides where the sun had damaged the paint. Ted started by repairing a piece of siding and did an excellent job fitting and matching it to the existing siding. Ted and Wayne were punctual, worked well together and kept things tidy, which we appreciated. Ted also straightened the cap/cover on top of our chimney, which had been letting moisture in and then made a steel cap for the underside of the decommisioned chimney pipe to prevent drafts from entering. While he was on the roof, he offered to remove a couple of satellite dishes that the previous owners had installed - we were happy to see these eyesores disappear. Ted also inspected our massive skylight, which had some signs of leaking, but found it was just condensation. On a separate day, Ted installed a bathroom fan in our bathroom, which has a cathedral ceiling, and wired the fan to a timer in a convenient location with minimal damage to the sheetrock. He did the preliminary sheetrock repair himself. He also gave us some tips on applying sheetrock mud to another area where we had removed a tile surround.
Ted was great to work with. He has an eye for the most cost-effective and aesthetic way to resolve home interior and exterior issues. He was willing to work with us in phases to accomodate our budget. We plan to have him back soon to install an island hood in the kitchen (including the ducting) and to move some wiring for a new light fixture.
