Great experience from start to finish. I was impressed with the knowledgeable staff. When they came out for the quote they explained everything well and made the process quite easy. They said it would take 5 days to complete my roof however that happped to be at the beginning of the Covid shutdown and they brought out 2 crews and completed it in 2 and a half days. They may have had to rush to finish but you wouldnt know it as the roof came out perfect. I am very happy and would for sure recommend them.

They understand having a true professional as your sales representative makes all the difference. They were not our number 1 choice going into a round of three proposals, but Yancey's sales rep Randy worked harder to earn our business and even though his price was significantly higher we selected his firm. His bid was higher because he took more time to see issues that would have to be dealt with eventually such as the need for plywood to replace wood slats. We'd rather have a true assessment of what we faced prior to work beginning than learning while the job was under way. Randy asked if we planned to remain in the house or looking to sell in the near future. Saying we planned to stay changed the nature of the job and his bid.

Love my roof and had to do a 3 layer complete tear-off. They were courteous answered numerous questions until we felt comfortable and matched competitors prices. My roof was done quickly, efficiently and the workers were amazing because they put my roof on in the super heatwave this summer. I recommend Yancey and my roof speaks for itself. Jolinda

Yancy's workmanship and customer service was, overall, top-notch. My worries about leaks and dry rot are now history. I recommend Yancy to anyone needing a roof replacement. I have one quibble, which doesn't relate to the roofing work they performed for me: the new fascia boards the roofers installed need painting (painting was specifically not included in my roofing contract). I asked Yancy if they could have their painter bid on the job. I was told that wouldn't be a problem--the painter would contact me. I never heard from the painter, even after a couple of follow-up calls to Yancy. This was unrelated to the work Yancy performed for me under contract, and in no way prevents me from recommending Yancy to anyone shopping for roofers. But I felt it does bear mentioning, as Yancy does strive to provide quality customer service.

i could have gotten the job done at less cost, but the quality of the people and workmanship trumped cost in this case. They are "old school" good!

Very good service on physically removing old shakes and installing new roof.

The estimate for the unforseen issues (ie: dry rot etc...) was a bit low. Especially for a 35 yr old roof with visable signs of dry rot. Us and Yancey both should have planned a little better on that particular cost item. They did get the old roof off in 2 hours and promptly began to hammer out the new roof. :)

Headaches, nightmares...not a smooth process. Although workmanship on our roof was very nice, we had nothing but trouble with the administrative process. Inspections were a pain, and very difficult to coordinate. We originally had a sliding glass door included with our roofing project, but the company did not know they needed a permit. They had to be told by us, the consumer. Signed the contract in June in hopes that project(s) would be completed before August before returning to work. Roof was completed, but still waiting for final inspection. Paperwork that was supposed to be filled out by the contractor was not filled out, causing us to fail inspection. I was also told that we needed CO detectors in each bedroom. After purchasing and installing them myself, I was later told that I don't need CO detectors, but needed smoke detectors in each bedroom. Purchased and installed myself. After 2nd inspection, I was told that two of them were placed incorrectly. Neither Yancey nor building inspector could quote, confirm or show the actual code. This process has turned into a gigantic hassle (including missed days of work for me). I would never recommend this contractor.

There are companies that may be cheaper, but the Yancey service was top notch. I got excellent service and performance. Yancey includes work that other companies may charge extra for. Their estimator and project manager provided some additional suggestions. We re-roofed, replaced gutters and downspouts, and changed and replaced roof venting. We have made additional contracted agreements for more work to be done.

They tore off the old roof, installed the new roof, cleaned up , and did it all in 2 days. They installed 23 squares and new gutters. I was very impressed!

High quality materials, insanely fast work, and extremely personable staff. - Eric dropped by to walk the home with me and discuss our options and had a broken down estimate prepared within 48hrs. Yancey WAS NOT the cheapest estimate we received. However, they didnt sacrifice quality on the products they were using AT ALL. The job was scheduled and completed within 3 business days. If there was EVER a question or concern, Patrick the project manager let me know he was only a text message or phone call away. He kept us updated with every upcoming step.

We had Yancey Bros. install our Bartile Roof 10 years ago. Shortly after the one year workmanship warranty passed, of course, the face board fell off the edge of the roof. You would think as a courtesy, they would put the face board back up, but all they would do is reorder the new tile at full cost. Shortly after, one of the valleys started to leak. A roofer friend looked at it and found that the underlayment was installed wrong so when the rain was very heavy, it would leak under the underlayment. This year, we have a new leak. this is going to cost us several thousand dollars to fix.

Extremely professional. Even the office staff follows up on committments. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Quality is long remembered after speed , time, price, and everything else is forgotten. I would hire Yancey again.

The estimator quoted one price, the project manager increased the price by an amount I felt was over priced. The project manager promised one day the didn't show up until the next day, the roofers put a hole in the ceiling of one bedroom and the ensuing mess with the insulation that fell through the hole was very disturbing to my tenant. The actual roofers were professional and I'm satisfied with the job but I wouldn't hire this company again.
