I have a 2014 dodge charger with an amplified factory system. I upgraded the speakers with Best Buy and ran into known issues with sound in the front speakers(No highs or mid range frequencies). So I decided to talk to a few Audio places to see what could be done to have full range sound in the front and back 6x9 speakers in my car.
My first stop was West Coast Audio.(out of 3 I planned to visit). When I got to West Coast Audio the counter person brought out the tech that would do the Install Tony. Tony is the only reason that this review is positive as it is. Tony the installer was knowledgeable and seemed to know exactly the issue and what I wanted. He recommended a amp and audio controller for the front and back speakers. I asked him about how long it will take to install and he replied 1.5 to 2 hours, so I made an appointment to bring my car in the following morning.
I brought my vehicle in at 9:30am for the install after paying in advance the day before( MISTAKE) and walked .5 mile up the street and watched 2 movies while the car was being worked on. About 4 hrs later I called to check on the progress of the vehicle and the front counter person said that he hasn't seen a charger in the shop and I should call back later to check with someone else. I finished the movie I was watching at the time and walked back to west coast audio. It was 4pm when I arrived back. I talked to the person at the counter and here is where my issues with west coast audio started. The counter salesman seemed more interested in a woman that was in the shop than providing customer service. He told me I could go into that shop area where the cars were being worked on and talk to Tony. It looked like tony was being seriously overworked. There where several cars in the installation area being worked on ( my car included) with the parts hanging out. I was a surprised. So it looked like I had a bit of a wait on my hands after talking a bit to Tony I walked back up to the front area and sales floor. No seats for waiting except a dirty chair outside used to keep the front door open. What struck me was the salesperson's attitude when I talked to him for a sec. The salesman's attitude was kind of like they were doing me a huge favor for bringing my car there and paying to have work done. The salesman took the woman to "lunch" forcing Tony the installer to man the front counter while my car was in pieces in the back shop. By now my opinion of West Coast Audio was not a good one so I quietly waited. After about 45 min a sales person came back from where ever, and tony was allowed to go back and work on cars. I watched the way the shop functioned during my wait and professionalism is the last word I would use to describe West Coast Audio. So around 6:30pm my car is finished. The worked seemed rushed with wire shavings and cut twisty ties all over my back seat and trunk. All my speakers work in full range but I have not the ability to fade sound from front to back. I guess I didn't understand that going into it or it wasn't mentioned after waiting for 9 hours for what I was thinking was going to be 3hours max I was pretty much fed up and done with it all. It sounded good enough and being able to fade sound didn't seem like an issue I felt like exploring or trying to get fixed there. Tony through it all was the only bright spot but in the end I got 79% of what I wanted. If Tony owned his own audio shop I would be a loyal customer willing to shell thousands for my audio needs... but he's just an installer and not enough for me to recommend West Coast Audio to anyone. *UPDATE** audio was dropping out and I found that the power was tapped into unsafely and incorrectly and cost another $300 to fix the wiring and mounting of amp. DO NOT GO TO West Coast Audio!!! Terrible experience.

Wow, impressive. An audio shop that has an excellent selection with an abundance of inventory. No, "We will order that for you". Tony, the installer is an expert with over twenty years in his profession. I purchased the whole enchilada, Deck, GPS, Hands Free, IPod, Amp, Speakers, etc. Room was an issue, my truck was not giving the installers many choices to locate the equipment. In the end, Tony made it all look factory installed with no indication of wires, bolted equipment to the floor etc. I made some strong demands for a perfect install, they made it happen!
In my youth I was an audiophile so I was semi knowledgable when I walked in. Sales staff, honest, extremely knowledgeable and not interested in overselling you product you don't need, imagine that. I went to the "High end" shops first. I found them to be high in price, a bit presumptuous, telling me what I wanted, rather than selling to my needs. Easily a 5 star experience.
