Van's Carpets Inc

Van's Carpet was chosen as the staff at the store was so helpful the first time I was out there for a different project. I didn't use them that time as they didn't have the tile I wanted. However, I went back for a second project because I had been treated so well before. This is a family owned business which has been in business for 30+ years. Nan, the owner and sales contact for my project, was good to work with and made arrangements for samples to be sent to me as well as letting me take samples home from the store. She even came by at one point to pick up the store samples as she was in the neighborhood with another estimate.
The installers, father and son team, Craig and Cody arrived right on time. Very pleasant to work with. They took some time to discuss how to best make cuts and seams for the carpet based on the floor plan. This allowed for as few seams as possible throughout the hallways and made effective use of the carpet purchased. Moved some of the bigger furniture pieces in order to work throughout the house and they didn't grumble about doing that.  It's much easier to lay the carpet when there is no furniture but that wasn't possible. Both installers worked very hard throughout the day and it did take the whole day to install about 1000 sq feet of carpet. The installers have worked for Van's as contractors for a number of years. This is hard work and I did appreciate how much care they took to avoid any damage to walls or to furniture. They used a power stretcher so that there is a tight fit to the wall. The pieces left over from their fitting the carpet to my home had all straight cuts and I will be easily able to have the edges seamed so that those extras can be used as runners. Overall a very good experience.

The condo I was moving in to needed some upgrades before I could move in, including carpets. But as I was living 3-hours away, I knew I wouldn't have much time to spend with each carpet vendor. So I left a lock box on the door so that they could see the place ahead of time and then let me know when they were ready for me to come up and make a selection. Van's representative was the only carpet vendor that actually came out and saw the new paint colors before hand, so when I did meet with her, she had already narrowed the carpet color and quality selections, which helped me make a decision quickly. Luckily, the carpet I chose was in stock and they were able to install it the following week. When I came back to inspect the work, everything was neat and tidy and it looked great. Now that I have moved in, friends and family have noted how well the carpet and paint colors work together.

From the time we arrived in their showroom until the job was complete, everyone was very friendly and professional. They accommodated our needs. Their arrivals were punctual. Holly kept us up to date on the timeline and made the experience pleasant.
