TUFF SHED INC - Sacramento

Delay after delay after delay. I choose Tuff Shed over metal shed/barn contractors, due to a very positive experience at my prior home. This franchise is nothing like the franchise in San Jose. Prints/drawings for county permit approval took months. Foundation went in smoothly and passed first inspection. Building corner anchor bolts were written up, they were not per print, and it took weeks before letter was written by Tuff Shed PE stating bolts used were acceptable (for county accept,) Shed was finished and my General contractor had to finish floor as many screws were not flush with floor, some stood up as far an 1/2". Inspector told me the building needed landings (is front of side door and front barn doors). Tuff Shed had no idea what was needed, DID NOT KNOW COUNTY CODE. 3 WEEKS LATER they sent out a crew for paint touch up and did not even tell them they had to build landings at Shed entrances. Terrible, Inexcusable, Unprofessional, slow as putty on a cold day.

This shed had a few quirks, leveling was an issue, however the crew spent a little extra time to make sure we were satisfied with their work. Some fine details left out, were quickly taken care of by the supervisor who came to our house inspected and noted all and all was taken care of in a timely manner!

It went really well with Tuff Shed Inc. in Sacramento. It was a nice shed. The guys who put it in did a great job. It was beautiful. They made it out of a radiant barrier siding and roofing. It's got to be thirty degrees cooler inside that shed. It was a little brittle after a while.

It went very smoothly. The salespeople at tuffshed were easy to work with and very patient with all my scheduling issues. The workmen did a good job, in spite of the fact that it was raining on them the entire time they were working. The workmen were very polite and professional, but not as clean as I would have hoped. They also missed with the nail gun a fair amount, piercing the tyvek in the wrong places and ruining its effectiveness. I had to go in afterward and re-seal the building. they were also not too careful with the tyvek wrap and it was split in a number of places. So they were professional but not careful. Also re: quality, a number of the 2x4 studs used were really really low quality (e.g. almost not square, lots of knots/tears). I could have got better lumber at Home Depot, and HD is a low bar of lumber quality. Not all the studs, just some.

I love the shed. They did a really nice job. They were nice and did the work just the way I wanted. They cleaned up after themselves each day. They were professional and finished in a timely fashion.

I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE SHED THAT TUFF SHED INC BUILT FOR ME. I'VE SEEN SEVERAL OF THEIR SHEDS PRIOR TO PURCHASING OURS AND THEIR QUALITY IS THE BEST OF THE MANUFACTURED SHEDS OUT THERE. OUR SHED IS WELL BUILT AND HAS STEEL FLOOR JOINTS, SO THEY WON'T RUST OR ROT AWAY.
