The Spa Mover

We purchased a pre0owned Sundance Spa for Joey Digiacomo, the owner, who assured us at the time of purchase that he would take the spa into his workshop and go over it replacing all lines and wiring and that the spa would be in good working order before delivery. The spa was delivered on August 19, 2016. The installer had a problem delivering as the spa I purchased was wider than our gate. The sales agent had ALL the measurements for our gate, overhang clearance, old spa's measurements (they removed the old one, it took about thirty minutes) deck measurements etc. The spa worked for about six to eight days and began to fail. We started calling and sending emails requesting the spa be fixed. The sales agent demanded we take pictures, he wanted to see the error code. I'd told him there was no error code but sent pictures. He said wrong pictures take more. I complied. I finally filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau and the owner Joey Digiacomo finally wrote to say he would be out in a week. The owner, Joey Digiacomo, finally showed up on September 29th, driving up to my home and leaving his truck running (kind of my first clue this was not a friendly service). He fiddled with the spa testing fuses, turning it off and on at the power box. He finally unplugged the secondary control panel completely, plugged the main control panel back in and said he'd look around to see if he had another secondary control panel. He informed me I got his delivery personnel fired because my job got in the way of other delivers. My next information from this (expletive deleted) owner was his response to the Better Business Bureau complaint stating he would not be providing any further service to this me. He strives for customer satisfaction but that was not possible in this instance and the complaint could just stay open he didn't care.

The owner of this company assured us in person he would "take the unit into his workshop and go over it completely. He would replace any worn or needing to be replaced items so the unit would be completely working by delivery..." Unit delivered on August 19, 2016. Delivery personnel damaged a built-in Bar B Q during installation. Used the unit on August 21, 2016 noted the bubble ports were not working (only three worked). Contacted merchant on August 22, 2016 was told to use a wire to clear non-functioning ports. I made an attempt to "clear" the ports but the unit still was not functioning. Over the next three and a half weeks I made nearly daily attempts to contact this merchant. The spa pumps stop working, first one than the other. I sent the requested pictures along with an invoice for repair to the damaged Bar B Q. Greg Hodge, Sales Manager was the person I spoke with on numerous occasions; he claimed to not receive the pictures he requested but did manage a long tirade about not paying for the damage as stated in the invoice sent with the pictures. I currently have a non-functional $2,200 spa and Greg Hodge is not responding to any attempts at resolution to this matter.

The owner, Joey is awesome. We texted a few times about the model of the spa to be moved, the areas to go through and gave me a bid within minutes. Within less than 24 hours my spa was moved with ease or that's what it looked like! He made it look so easy. He had the right equipment. Efficient, great price, nice personality... I would absolutely recommend their services. He even knew the brand and model and made recommendations regarding the power outlet needed, the type of cleaners needed and how to best use it. Impressed!

I could not ask for better service. Joey called 30 minutes before arriving. He and his crew made it look easy. The spa had to be moved from the back patio through a very narrow side gate and walk. They loaded it onto their trailer, tied it down and made sure the cover and all loose parts were secure. Then at the new house they moved the spa up a sloped lawn, again through a narrow gate and walkway and positioned it exactly where we asked. I also ordered a new spa cover which he delivered 4 days later. Super professional, very friendly and efficient. When I need to replace this spa I will definitely call The Spa Mover first!
