Steve Rose Painting

It was great. I just had repair work done on the trim and siding. The painters caulked the new areas really well and got paint on it before the winter rains really start. Matched the old paint. On the inside, I just wanted one wall turned into an accent feature -- several shades darker than the original paint. Because of the light and the angles in the room, it's hard to get the color right. Steve worked with me to get the formula exactly how I wanted it, and they painted it today. It's gorgeous. Also got good advice on repainting my front door (which I'll do). Steve and crew are personable and cheerful and it was really nice to have them here.

I am so pleased with the job done and how it was done. This was a small job that some might be careless with. It was easy to connect with Steve and arrange an appointment for his bid on the work -- even on a Saturday -- and he was punctual. He presented himself with professionalism and treated me and my home with respect. He  started the work on the following Monday and finished Tuesday. He communicated with me both days and finished the work as requested. He tidied up after the first day. When he was done, he put the leftover supplies in my garage. It was a pleasure to have his skills contribute to improving my home, especially in a room where I look forward to welcoming guests.

When I used them, Dynamic Painting was joined up with Steve Rose Painting. The quality sucked. He told me that he would do two coats but he explained later that he was backrolling which means they spray it real thin than go over it with a roller. Also, I had them redo the caulking because he just slopped caulk along the trim and swirled it. I have these thick globs of caulk around the door and stuff and it looks ridiculous. They replaced the header above the garage door by replacing a 17 foot piece of wood with a 16 foot piece and a 1 foot piece. When I asked about it, Steve Rose personally told me that the header only comes in 16 footers and that my old one was two pieces split in the middle. I kept the wood for a raised flower bed so I went and measured it and it was 17 feet long. Home Depot sells those headers in 20 foot lengths so the guy just flat out lied to me.

This job was neatly done and I was happy with the outcome. After calling them, they were able to start within one day. I was quite impressed that they could start the job earlier then I expected.
