Smit's Heating & A/C Inc

Our technician took the time to go over everything he noticed and recommended work we could do to protect the system.  Did not feel like they were trying to sell me anything beyond what we needed.

My experience with Smit's Heating & A/C didn't work well. The heating system was very marginal in it's effectiveness. What really upset me was that while putting the gas line in the plumber who was working for them only hand tightened one of the gas lines. And for several months my wife was smelling propane. Finally, I had to tear the walls apart to get into the gas line and found out it was leaking. I told the gentlemen about the situation and we made two separate appointments to come out and talk to me about it. He didn't show up for either of them so I had to hire another plumber to deal with the issue. I obviously was very disappointed.

They were professional and punctual. The salesman was good and went through everything. I stay on a hill, so they had to do a lot of work. They had to bring in a crane to take out the old system and install the new unit. They did a very good job and I was satisfied with their service.

Smit's did a great job. Followed through on all parts of the contract. Removal and installation of new Trane XL16i packaged heat pump. Sealed all registers per code and had us up and running in about 7 hours. Tim, president, came by to supervise, answered all questions. Both installers, forget their names, were courteous and professional. Overall a turnkey operation. They are sub contractor in our area for one of the major home improvement stores.

They were a little slow with their phone calls and it is sometimes hard to get through to them but they showed up on time and we haven't had any problems with our unit. I also liked the fact that they wore booties while they worked.

Workmen were punctual and cleaned up after themselves. They were also very courteous. They wore "booties" whenever they entered the house from outdoors. On the negative side, they spilled refrigerant across our entire patio from the old A/C unit. Although they attempted to clean this up twice, the refrigerant has left a stain on the patio. They also disabled our exterior electrical outlet, leaving us with a sprinkler system that no longer functions. They broke off a sprinkler head, but did not alert us to it.

I was very pleased with the work done and with the 2 gentlemen (Robert and Michael) who were in, over and under the house putting in new unit and all work associated with new unit. Started on a Tuesday AM and finished on Friday PM of same week. Am very pleased and happy with the new unit and would recommend the company very highly.

Service man arrived within scheduled window, was very polite, and performed his work in a very professional manner, leaving the work area clean and tidy. Office personnel were courteous and knowledgeable. They even called ahead to inform us of some cancellations and would we like for the appointment date to be moved up.

I THOUGHT THAT THEY DID A REALLY GOOD JOB. THEY WERE ON TIME. THEY GOT EVERYTHING DONE WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS AT ALL. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES WHEN THEY WERE DONE. I SAVED A LOT OF MONEY BY USING THEM.
