SHANAHAN'S AUTO BODY & TOWING

The work was excellent and done quickly. The estimate was good and accurate. However, there is a downside. When I dropped off my car I had neglected to remove my $150.00 Garmin GPS unit. When I went back for my car three days later I found the GPS was missing. Whoever took it left the beanbag dashboard base and the USB cable.

After finding other body shops in the Elk Grove area unresponsive to my inquires, I joined Angie's List.  Based on previous reviews, I set up an appointment with Shanahans.  I met with Joe Cecere.  He was very friendly and professional.  The estimate was reasonable.  They were able to schedule the work within the next 10 days.  Dropped off the vehicle on Monday morning.  Received a call Thursday morning the vehicle would be ready that afternoon.  Picked up vehicle that afternoon.  The work was excellent.  The entire experience was professional and hassle free.
We settled with the insurance company before going to Shanahans.  The insurance company was not involved with the repairs at all.
If I need body work in the future, I will not hesitate to take my vehicle to Shanahans again.

I'm sorry not to have written a review earlier and can no longer provide great detail about the work, but dealing with Shanahan's was a very positive experience (given the need to have body work done). I chose them because (1) they had a "guaranteed" relationship with my auto insurance company and this arrangement made the transaction more manageable and efficient (and provided a measure of quality control) and (2) of the companies that had this "guaranteed" relationship with my insurance company, they had the best reviews on Angie's. These folks were very professional, did good work, and did a very good job of informing me about the process with my insurance company. I would definitely use them again if I needed body work.

They punctual, professional and a pleasure to talk with while waiting for my Enterprise rental to pick me up. They actually had the work done earlier so that was a nice surprise. Vehicle looked like new inside and out. This was my second visit and just as satisfied with their work and employees.

Didn't have service provided because they never replied back to me with an appointment or any response.

Insurance sent us to a different auto body shop to have our rear fender replaced. The person at that auto shop was so rude and inattentive that we did not leave our car. I turned to Angie's list to find an auto body shop in my area.
I chose Shanahan's Auto Body and Paint and I am glad I did. I like the shop because it is clean, has a nice waiting area, and a sprinkler system that leaves you with no doubt of their goal for safety - plus they were willing to work with my insurance. Joe, the estimators I worked with, is professional, friendly, and has excellent communication skills. Plus, he gave me a written estimate that was a great price. The final cost was the same as the estimate. Most important, the end result is the rear fender is a perfect fit and perfect paint match. Joe even buffed out some areas on my car at no charge. I couldn't be happier.

I made an appointment for 7:15 on Tuesday, June 12. I arrived at 7:00, was warmly welcomed, was asked to fill out some papeswork, and was told an estimator would be with me shortly. The initial estimate took less than 15 minutes and I was given an estimate of approx. $600. The estimator asked if I had any questions or concerns. I did and asked if they could check behind the bumper to make sure there was no damage and to check the left rear tail light. He said he would.
The insurance company also arranged for a rental car so I was able to get a rental car on-site as well. Before I left, Sande (another estimator) advised me that she would call to keep me up-to-date with what was going on and I was out the door by 8:30.
Around mid-morning Sande called to let me know about the additional damage Shanahans had found and advised me of the new estimate, which was $1400 (which the insurance company would pick up). She told me about the damage to the Impact bar and the Energy absorber and told me about the rear tail light cover (a screw or clip was missing that caused it to come loose). She estimated a couple of days for the repairs but would call me if thngs changed.
Sande also asked about my driver side interior door handle. Apparently while the technician was exiting the van, it broke. I told Sande that it was loose. Sande said that Shanahans would replace the handle at no cost and all I would have to pay for was the part. I was very appreciative of that and I said, and quot;Yesand quot;.
At 4:00 on Thursday, June 14 I received a call advising me that my van was ready. I made an appointment for Friday afternoon to pick up the van and to return the rental car.
Friday afternoon I went in and all the paperwork was ready for me. I didn't have to wait and I was out the door within a half hour. My rear bumper was replaced and my left rear tail light cover was fixed. I also noticed Shanahan's had detailed my van and that was a really nice surprise.
Shanahans made my auto repair experience a very pleasant one. Sande was extremely professional and very personable and I even received a thank you postcard from Shanahans THANKING ME for my business. I am very pleased with Shanahans and will recommend them whenever possible.

Excellent! This is the third time I used this company. Each time the level of professionallism was excellent. the quality of work was perfect. I was treated politely. the repairs were completed when they said and efficiently. They fixed my lock without charge (unheard of now days). I paid the insurance deductible and they took care of the Farmer's cost. THe staff from the office persons to the technitions were extremely personable. They gave me clear information on what would happen and then followed through with it in a timely manner. I can't say enough positives about this company.

Only paid the Insurance Deductible. Shanahan's did the $2,000 repair and custom repaint in 3 days and provided a FREE rental car. I couldn't have ask for more or better service and a quality job. They took care of everything.

My car was stolen and they did a great job cleaning and fixing it. I am very impressed at the way they handled everything. They are very professional and helped me out a lot. My car looks great, thanks to them.
