+ -1 moreI saw a beautiful artisan bannister on the internet and took a picture. I got three bids. We chose Sacramento Stairs due to the cost and we are totally thrilled with the job. It is a piece of art. It is a solid piece of wood with cut outs and dual stains. It is really beautiful. He also made sure to keep the area clean as he was working. We are having a lot of work done and another worker was having a problem installing a dutch door. Mark and his guys apparently have installed many of them. They immediately volunteered to dive in and help and it got done.

+ -1 moreInitially the provider was very responsive and willing to negotiate on the price. He came to a reasonable amount and it looked like things were going to move forward. However, the problem arose when we were trying to work out if he would help us if a city permit issue came up. He was very averse to this and eventually stopped communicating with us. Even when we eventually agreed to handle all city permit issues ourselves, he did not get back to us and so we did not move forward with the project. I think overall the provider would have done a good job, but the permit issue was something he did not want to even consider and so the project fell through.
Description of Work: The provider was going to remodel our stairs but the negotiations fell apart.

+ -1 moreOur stairs are just gorgeous. They were courteous and on time. They made suggestions about how to do things to achieve what we wanted, then they came in and did it. It was fabulous. The price was very reasonable, well within what we had expected to pay, and we had gotten bids from 4 different companies.
Description of Work: They came in and put in an oak railing and a balcony. They did all of the stair detailing.
