She understands her clients interest and needs.  She is very professional.  Her knowledgeable base is outside this world.  She is very knowledgeable about landscape that uses very little water or no water at all.  She has very good people who she is connected to.  She has recommended me to other services.

Very friendly, creative and skilled designer.  Finished work was well presented - plans in color with monotone copies as well as a booklet of each plant that was included in the design.  Good value for the money compared to other designers.  This kind of thing is more expensive than we would have liked but just because we'd rather put the money into the manual labor.  
The only things we thought could have been better would have been to be more focused on drought-tolerant and native plants and I think some of her suggestions on hardscape weren't fleshed out really well.  
I expressed several times that that was something I wanted but she repeatedly discouraged the use of natives saying that they don't have year-round appeal and can be shubby or ugly in their off season.  The final design didn't have much that I consider drought-tolerant as she said everything can be low-water demand if you're using drip systems - which is what she called for in the design.  Probably true but could still lower usage with DT plants combined with drip systems.  I wish i'd pushed more for my wishes in that regard and will likely end up making changes on our own to some areas.
Still - very knowledgeable, enjoyable personality, showed up often and on time and the work product was high quality.  Would use her again but push harder for closer to what I want.

The first day she came out for a site visit, Kimberly Marshall spent nearly the entire day! We have an acre so there was a lot of ground to cover. Kimberly and I discussed plant choices and what our priorities were, and then she came up with a finished plan incorporating both plants and hardscape. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding about our budget, so that first plan was way more than we could handle. But to give Kimberly credit, she immediately realized (and fessed up to) her mistake and did everything she could to make it right.
It took a bit longer than expected to get a finished plan, but it was definitely more work on Kimberly's part and she saw it through. Roberta designed, supervised, and followed up on our extensive project. We love our drought resistant yards and appreciate her design choices every day. We strive to hire the best people for our home improvements and we feel grateful we found Roberta to transform our outdoor living space. We know our neighbors love to see our front yard transform every season. Love her and her artistic foresight.

I have had previous experience with some bad Landscape Designers and some very good ones.
Before hiring Roberta, I had a very short bad experience with an untalented man who was also dishonest.  
As I said I made it a very short experience.
In my last house, I hired a nationally known talent woman who did a wonderful job.
My experience with Roberta reminds me of that experience.
I still have the actual work ahead but, based on my experience so far, I things will go very well.
One of the wonderful things about working with her is her ability to really listen.  She has good insight into human nature and is very good about integrating elements from both husband and wife in a smooth almost unnoticeable way.
More to come on this review.  I take reviews seriously and don't just dash them off.  I depend on the reviews that others write and I do my best to be accurate with mine.

I employed Sacramento Valley Landscape from the list of contractors that Roberta provided for me to do the installation. They also did my backyard last year.  They were professional , efficient, and detailed in their work.  i couldn't be happier with the result. Roberta inspected the installation after completion and corrected a few problems connected to the landscape lighting.

After the initial plans, Roberta continued to be part of the process, helping to place the plants and altering plans as things developed.  We appreciate her work and expertise!  We used one of her recommended landscapers and were mostly happy with him.

The finished installation was beautiful.  I don't have any parrticular do's and don'ts, but you should be comfortable with each subcontractor as well.

Roberta was very easy to work with and very professional. She met with us, came back and took measurements and photos, then met with us to review her design. We offered a few changes which she accepted readily. She gave us the names of 3 contractors with whom she works. She offered to accompany us to the nursery to review plants and to the stone yard to select stone for the yard. There was no additional fee for her time. The actual landscaping has not occurred, but she will work closely with the contractor to assure fidelity to the design.

She is great and I really enjoyed working with her. I like her and the design looks fine.

She did an excellent job. Her price was reasonable and she arrived on time. She did quality work as well. She told me up front what I was going to be charged and when she left I had a written plan. She is also very knowledgeable as well.

She came with great ideas and she was also a good listener. She knows what plants work well in our area and she discussed the maintenance with us. We have already referred her to our friend.
