We are a full service auto repair facility - from brakes to tune-up, timing belts to radiators and everything in between. We are THE Automotive A/C specialty center in Sacramento WE service all makes and models even older cars with R12. We warranty all of our repairs* for 2 years or 24,000 miles. We install air conditioning in the Dealership's vehicles that came without A/C .

I went in. I paid 500 dollars to Polar Bear Auto Care and I don't think they fixed it first hand. I went in again because the air conditioning stopped working. I went in again under a warranty. I paid another 300 dollars to replace the condenser. They should have replaced it the first time. But, they fixed it anyway and it worked perfectly well.

After a quick early morning diagnosis and service recommendations by the PBAC business owner; no service performed at all by the Polar Bear Auto Care repair shop.
I was very disappointed! I paid $90 for the Polar Bear Auto diagnosis and absolutely ZERO Work Done!
Took my vehicle to another dealer (much closer to my residence) and got needed and necessary four shocks installed. World of difference and the second service shop provided complete work, including parts and labor. for $380.00!
Also took same vehicle to a third service repair shop and A/C is now working (for 3 months now) at my cost of $130.00!
Polar Bear Auto Care business did not advise nor recommend anything and [DID NOTHING] and because of recommendations and reviews provided by Angies List, it was the first repair shop I drove to (48 miles from my home).
I will never return to Polar Bear Auto Care repair shop and I own six vehicles from 1994 through 2013.

"Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we value feedback to help us improve our service to you our customers. I have to apologize we obviously missed what your issues were at the original write up. On July 5th, 2013, I wrote on the R/O "A/C not working, dragging engine". I did not anything down about noise in the brakes or check out the shocks. We spent nearly an entire hour checking anything we could to find a reason your engine would drag down when the A/C was on. The A/C was blowing cold and the compressor was working fine, engine fan clutch was good, system pressures were well within range. The technician wrote A/C working well unable to duplicate customer complaint return vehicle if problem occurs again. During our FREE courtesy inspection the we noted the engine oil was darker than normal and the 3rd brake light was out, which we replaced at no charge to you. During the test drive nothing was brought up that needed attention no brake pulsation or shock fade. Front brakes appeared to be fine through the wheels, we didn't do a brake inspection as we missed your desire to have one done. I will be happy to refund the $65 diagnostic fee you paid and once again apologize we didn't communicate effectively with you. thanks kevin bishop"

My car air conditioning died on Friday afternoon. I called and even though they were swamped with work they fit me in first thing Saturday morning. Two hours later they called to let me kinow the car was ready to be picked up. They do good work and their prices are extremely reasonable

Everything at Polar Bear was fine but the price. It is well known for their convenience and their speedy service. The mechanics were great to work with and very pleasant I just did not expect to pay what I did at Polar Bear.
