My antique neon clock recently gave up the ghost. I called Ben at Lights in the Night, he laid out the (simple) options and invited me to come by. While I waited, he opened up the clock face, tested the neon tube, tested the transformer and located the problem. While I went to get a bite of lunch and some cash, he replaced the transformer and re-assembled the clock. It was a relief to find someone willing to work on this, provide a simple solution at a reasonable price. He also bends neon for new and replacement signs. He clearly loves what he does and I would not hesitate to send anyone his way.
Description of Work: I have an antique electric clock with a neon illuminated face. When it stopped working, I started calling neon repair shops. Most are geared towards large-scale commercial signs and couldn't really help me. A few were more than happy to extract several hundred dollars to fiddle around and maybe find a solution. Ben at Lights in the Night was exactly the guy I was looking for. A small-scale shop specializing in repairs to older products. He replaced the transformer and put it back together, nearly as good as new, quickly, cheerfully, expertly.
