We had four ceiling fans installed in an older home we just purchased. A fan and a remote control wall switch were defective. In fact, when Edward installed the fan, he told me it might be defective, but since I didn't hear excessive noise, I took a wait and hear attitude.The wall switch did work, but then became functionally erratic.The fans/switches were installed that morning, I called Edward late that same afternoon, and he returned the very next morning to replace both the wall switch and fan. I did pay a reduced rate to have the parts installed, which I think is fair. Edward did his job satisfactorily, and it was not his fault that the items were defective. We live in a global economy, where many things come from all over the world, and we get the benefit of lower prices, but the the trade off is that quality control suffers.
