In short, Michael & Sons, Inc. gets a D rating from our association. Through the years our manager, Matt, provided substandard service and a record of completion that was close to 4/10 requests being mishandled or dropped altogether. Rather than providing the much needed management and oversight of such a large project (managing annual budgets in excess of $250,000 annually) they required constant checking and re-checking, and would still fail or fall through regularly. It was a unanimous decision of our board to end our contract with Michael & Sons, and despite impassioned pleas months in advance, to reconsider, they chose to hold us to a 30 day written notice clause in our contract. No great harm there, as the transition to our new manager was assumed to be smoother with the extra team on board. However, our manager chose instead to not cooperate. The new manager was left to regularly visit their offices in person, to hold their staff accountable for delays and deadlines missed during the handoff. I could likely go on typing for hours, but would prefer to save my energy and instead urge you to STRONGLY consider another management group. Michael & Sons, Inc. in our experience is a group of outdated managers in denial about the quality of work they provide. Their phone presence is above average, but I can absolutely assure you their word is NOT GOOD. So it doesn't matter, long run, what they promise you or how good they sound - they don't deliver. We gave them YEARS of opportunity to correct their issues, it just didn't happen. Nice people. Lousy at their business.
