custom cabinets
 + -1 moreWhen we called them to order the granite and make the appointment for them to do the install, we were informed that the labor cost had skyrocketed from $300 to $900. When we asked the owner about the difference in price, he indicated that the original estimate did not include them doing the actual countertop installation, even though we had discussed the installation with his wife. When we tried to negotiate a more reasonable labor cost based upon the wife's initial quote, he had nothing more to dicuss with us. At this point, we decided not to go with this company. Interestingly enough, we had hired them about six years ago to do our kitchen countertops (with the same general agreement described above.) We were very pleased with his work then. Not sure what has changed with them, but we won't be doing business with them again, nor will we recommend them to anyone. Lots of miscommunication + inaccurate quotes + non-negotiable attitude = one unhappy customer!
Description of Work: We stopped by their store in Sacramento to check out their granite countertops, as we were wanting to replace just the countertop in one of our bathrooms. We were given a verbal quote by the store owner's wife, which we understood included the materials cost and the labor costs for them cutting the sink hole and doing the countertop installation. (Based on our converstation with her, we understood and agreed that we would be removing the existing countertop and completing all the prep work necessary for them to just drop in the new countertop.) When we asked for a copy of the quote, she indicated the owner would give us one later.
