Re: US Quality Furniture - Contractor of La-Z-Boy La-Z-Boy customers spend many thousands of dollars on quality furniture when they buy furniture at their local La-Z-Boy store and with it comes the Comfort Care program; so when they need their La-Z-Boy furniture repaired, the salespeople say with a smile, call Comfort Care and an appointment is set up for a repairman from US Quality Furniture to come to your home. It’s difficult when your furniture breaks and a simple ‘repair problem’ continues with seemingly no end in sight and there seems to be no resolution (everyone you speak to says it’s not under their jurisdiction and they transfer you to someone else)... US Quality Furniture, La-Z-Boy's contractor, sent a serviceman to our home on 12/23/17; 1/24/18/ 02/09/18 and again on 03/21/18 (after we requested he not return). Each time the serviceman came to our home, we were unable to see his name badge. We inquired, and La-Z-Boy looked it up and gave us his employee number. It disturbed us that his badge was never visible, as servicemen who come to homes now-days always show ID or wear a badge, even the Clark Pest guy who comes each month (and we know quite well)… For our protection, customers want to know who they are letting into their homes. What upset us, maybe most, is this 'repairman' broke 3 parts and after doing so, he acted like it was not a big deal, so what, if more new parts must ordered (meaning to us, new appointments must be made and our loveseat / recliner remains out of commission (3 months total) when the problem should have been resolved long ago... In good faith, we notified La-Z-Boy, thought they'd want to know, explained on more than one occasion why we were unhappy with the quality of expertise this repairman demonstrated and also the money being spent on more new parts, labor etc. (when he carelessly broke the parts). 03/21/18, the same repairman was sent again to our home (after we request he not return) and afterwards US Quality Furniture and La-Z-Boy said, sorry, he's the only serviceman in this area! Whether or not US Quality Furniture furnished the repairman’s only tool (an electric impact wrench) by using an impact wrench in the manner he did, he broke parts – and is why my husband provided him with the proper tool for the job. He used my husband’s tool, it took only seconds and by using it the part was quickly installed, and thankfully no other parts were broken and no more appointments are necessary. We complained to La-Z-Boy and was told the repairman (angry at my husband) said he will not return to our home – this (by the way) is what we had requested (several times)… that this serviceman not return to our home ;=)

I had never worked with a designer before, but I'm so glad I did. (The service is free when you buy a certain amount of furniture.) The final result fits my house so well....it looks calm, peaceful, and established like it has been there forever. It doesn't scream "designer!" It reflects my own tastes, habits, needs. The furniture is flawless and I love the quality.
I respect and appreciate the skill and knowledge of Designer Mary Katherine -- who is a veteran of 10 years at this store and knows the merchandise and catalogs back to back. Sales Associate Sandra was also very skilled and tactful in identifying my needs and preferences. It was a tremendous help to receive creative guidance and assistance from both of them.

La-Z-Boy recliners have a very good reputation for their recliners, but I feel the company operations in whole is actually rather lousy. I said I would do business with them again, only because of the furniture quality, not because of the service. When we order the pieces, we requested a couple material swatches so we could make some other purchase of pillow materials, etc with pieces of the fabric as reference. We were told we would have them within a week. After numerous phone calls and speaking with the manager several times, we finally received the samples 2.5 months later. One arm on the love seat came in and need repair work because of a manufacturing flaw, which took a week before we saw it back.
