When I first contacted Tony, he was out the next day to go over my plans. He had wonderful suggestions. I was ecstatic when he told me that he could build the new cabinets I wanted and make them exactly match the existing ones. He also offered to
build new doors for the living room bookcase that would match my kitchen doors. His ideas for the mantle were wonderful.
He gave me the estimate for the job, which I found very reasonable and we set the date to begin. His crew arrived at 7:00 AM sharp every day. They did most of the work outside, keeping the mess down to a minimum. They did a beautiful job, very professional, and were always very polite and respectful. Every day, before they left, they cleaned up, leaving as little mess as possible. Tony made it a point to come by nearly every day to make sure everything was going well with the job.
I admit that it was not fun being moved out of my kitchen and bathroom for three weeks. But when the job was done, the work was amazing! Near the end of the job, I asked Tony if he could install some new cabinet doors in my bedrooms, literally on the last day of the job. He was wonderful. He added a small cost for the additional work and set his guys on the job. They managed to finish by the end of the day that day.
I am so very pleased with my new kitchen and all the other upgrades that Kitchens Made New did for me.
I highly recommend them.

We had our kitchen done in Nov 2013, originally it looked nice. Now it has chipped and the color is coming off. I have called and text Tony (the owner) multiple times but he never calls back. This is unfortunate because before he got paid he would call back right away. We have given up on him.

The work wasn't bad but the service and follow up has been horrible. Tony (the owner) keeps making promises to come out and bring some touch up paint and to finish the glass on the cabinets but keeps being a no show. I am tired of staying home waiting for him only to have him cancel. It has been over a month and still no success. I would strongly urge against using him, if you do then don't pay him till everything is absolutely done. He convinced me to give him the last payment because everything was so close to being done; He promised that his guys would bring everything the next morning, that was over a month ago.

The kitchen turned out nicely but the follow up for the finishing details has been a true battle.

I hired Kitchen?s Made New to do a cabinet refinish to our
kitchen and half bath. In addition, we added a customized vent hood and bridge over the sink area. To start, the crew from KMN showed up a day and a half late and were quite sloppy with the masking job. I expected the job site to be dirty but these
guys did not clean up after themselves and left a big mess. Every night I had to go in the work area and throw out their lunch they left in there, pickup garbage and vacuum the area just to keep the dust from being tracked into the other areas of the house, they had no regard for cleanliness.
The craftsmanship was very sloppy, I had to point out areas where pin nails had shot through the inside of the cabinets, the new bridge was not level and deep indentations in the new wood were visible and acceptable to workers, but not for me, I made them fix it. I had to help them with the installation of the new stainless steel vent hood because they didn't understand how to install it, I had to make the mount fixture for them using my tools. Their compressor broke down and they had to use mine for the bulk of the project, they borrowed my nail gun and other tools because they either forgot their tools or theirs broke. The spray booth that they claim to use never happened and over spray was all over the driveway, garage and everywhere else the wind blew.
The color and finish of our cabinets turned out very nice but they never finished the trim work. Repeated calls to Tony the project manager were either not returned and or he missed the appointments to show up and finish the job, We must have
called at least a dozen times to Tony and to the office. To this day the job is still unfinished and we have a minor issue with part of the finish that is coming off. I am quite sick of dealing with this kind of worthless professionalism and I hope others will read this review and take it seriously before considering KMN, I cannot in good conscience recommend them to do your kitchen refinish. I can provide picture to anyone wanting to see the sloppy and unfinished trim work that KMN left for us or feel free to email me if you have further questions ([email protected])

Kitchens Made New is a really good outfit. I've used them for the last decade. They do really high quality work and they have really good prices. They are very flexible. The hard thing is getting them in because they're booked solid. I would call them again. I have something I've been trying to get them to do for a while.

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel, Woodworking
After carefully considering the remodel options for our 1962 kitchen, we decided to renovate the existing rather than do a complete tear-out to help retain the feel of the original custom design. Over the years we have done a lot of "window shopping" at the various Home Improvement Stores and have had bids prepared, but we always felt the bids were way over our budget and we were never completely satisfied with the quality of the materials available that fell within our price range. We knew the look we wanted and we had our color palette, but had not found a contractor we felt comfortable with. We originally spoke with KMN in April 2012, liked their pricing and signed the contract in early September 2012. We realized at the time of signing that it would be a few months before they could get us worked into their schedule. However, we got a call from KMN out of the blue on a Friday morning in early December saying that they had a project postponement and would we like to take the open spot. They offered a $100 discount if we took it, and promised us a new kitchen by Christmas. We decided to go ahead with it even with the approaching holidays just to "git 'er done." The crew arrived promptly at 7:15 the following Monday morning (and every weekday morning after that) and we were off and running. They completely taped off the kitchen and essentially made it an interior paint booth, although the doors and drawers were primed and painted outdoors. The crew was very respectful of us, our home and our hardwood floors. Because this was all so last-minute, the first week of the reno was a little disorganized and there were a few communication hiccups with the project manager along the way which resulted in some delays, but nothing terribly major. The only issues we had (and are still experiencing 2 weeks after completion) are the fumes from the paint and the catalyst that was applied to help it dry. If we had this to do over again, we would not have scheduled this during the winter months because of the lack of ventilation. The crew did all they could to keep the fumes at a minimum, including opening the back door and kitchen windows and using a large, commercial exhaust fan, but the smell permeated the whole house and did cause some breathing and eye issues. However, bottom line is we are thrilled with the quality of the workmanship and the materials and are extremely happy with our new kitchen. And was it completed by Christmas? Just barely, but they kept their promise. The guys wrapped up at 3:30 on Christmas Eve.

Didn't show up the second confirmed scheduled day to finish the project. ( appointment was scheduled a month in advance and reaffirmed the first day of work that they would return at 7 am the next morning.)I called at 12noon and they stated there was a ''miscommunication''. They then came and picked up their tools- they had left in my garage (for the second day of work) and went to start someone else's project. The problems I encountered with the work done are: Some of the drawer colors did not match, incomplete sanding that caused staining over scratches to noticeably stand out. Miscolored stain in other areas and poor work ethics with project. They have not scheduled a finish up appointment and have not called when promised. They would do better on fast, one day rental property type jobs where the owner isn't living on the premises. This is truly the McDonald's of cabinet work and I do not recommend it.

THE WORK THAT THEY DID WAS EXCELLENT. THEY GAVE ME A TIME FRAME THAT IT WOULD TAKE THEM TO COMPLETE MY KITCHEN AND THEY FINISHED EARLY. I WAS SATISFIED WITH THE WORK AND PRICE.
