JP Home Repair

To whom it may concern: Please see the email from Charlie M from Home Advisor that I did a cut and paste of below. To summarize the issue: 1. I called JP Home Repair from Angie’s List yesterday, July 6, 2021. Jordan of JP Home Repair came at about 11:00 am and gave an estimate of $500 to do a yard clean up around my mobile home. I am preparing the home for sale and I now live about an hour round trip from the house. 2. Jordan of JP Home repair said he would be by later in the afternoon to do the job. 3. Later on July 6, 2021 I called him to see how the job was going and he told me he was done and would pick up the bags this morning July 7th. 4. On July 6, 2021 I went to angies list to put in a new credit card for payment as there had been fraud on the card I had on file and that card was canceled. I put in the new card number and it paid JP Home Repair. As the job was not finished I did not plan to pay for the job yet. I don’t know why when I put in a new card it paid JP Home Repair. 5. I called Jordan of JP Home Repair this morning, July 7, 2021 and said I would be there about 1:00. Jordan said he would be by early to finish the job and haul the bagged yard cuttings away as we had agreed on. 6. At 1:00 pm when I arrived Jordan had not yet arrived or finished the job. I called Jordan and he said he would be at the home by 3:00. At 3:30 I called Jordan again and he said he had lent his truck to a friend who was at pick and pull band that he would be by at 4:30. I told hime that was unacceptable as I had a class this today and I needed to be leave to be at the class. 7. When I asked about the job only being about 1/3 done he told me he sent an assistant who had not followed his instructions. I then asked him to repeat what he had agreed to do and he could only remember parts of it. I went over what he had agreed to do. 8. I then called Angies List to make a complaint. After multiple phone calls to Anji where I kept being given other numbers to call, and the assistants at Anji’s not being able to find the project on their site and even being given a number to call that was a U-Haul store (!!!) I finally reached a person at Anji that found the job referral. She referred me to Customer Solutions at 303-963-7946. No one at Anji that I talked to was able to tell me if JP Home Repair had been paid yet. 9. At Customer solutions I talked to Charlie M who sent me the email I copied and posted below. He was very helpful and ascertained that JP Home Repair had been paid. He tried calling Anji to process the refund but the office he had to call is on EST and was already closed. I am in California. 10. Charlie M advised me to document what happened and request a refund and said a new provider could be scheduled. 11. I left the other home at 6:00 pm and JP Home Repair still had not arrived. I have also not received a call or text from JP Home repair and I am writing this at 7:22 pm PCT. I missed my PhD class today because of waiting for JP Home Repair who did not show up. 12. I AM REQUESTING A FULL REFUND AND THAT THE REFUND BE DONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND ANOTHER PROVIDER WHO IS RELIABLE BE PROVIDED TO FINISH THE JOB. I NEED TO HAVE THIS DONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AS THE HOME IS LISTED TO BE SOLD. 13. Under Anji i am listed under 916-271-2633 and my email is joddo@mac.com. 14. Please help as what should have been a simple yard clean up has turned into multiple calls to Anji, a missed class and the job not being done in a timely and professional way. 15. Please respond to this email ASAP. Please call me to help resolve this as soon as possible. What I can advise you is to go on Homeadvisor.com and chose a contractor there to go and finish the job there tomorrow. If you need to follow up on the email tomorrow, the number for angi's list problem resolution is 1-866-986-5478. Once again I am sorry for all the trouble that you have gone through and the bad experience with the contractor. Rest assured that I have done everything to resolve this issue and I hope I was of help to you.
