Janet Gatejen Urban Hound

Janet is exceptional! I hired her to sell my mom's house after my mom moved to assisted living. My mom bought the house new in 1950 and was unable to properly maintain the property for a number of years. Janet hooked us up with a handyman who provided a reasonable quote to finish the clean out work, paint interior and exterior and do a variety of needed repairs. Since I live across the country from the property, Janet oversaw the work and kept me updated by email and text. When the fixing-up work was completed, she cut some of the iris named for my mom that were blooming in the back yard and put them in a vase for the professional pictures. My mom was delighted that she remembered the iris. Janet's analysis of the market was spot on when it came to setting a selling price. And her aggressive marketing efforts generated lots of interest in the property. My mom received 2 above list price offers (one with solid financing) on the first day before anyone had even toured the property! The sale closed 21 days later. Janet was phenomenal and compassionately walked my mom through every step of the process. With her help, we were able to get my mom's house cleaned out, fixed up and sold within about 8 weeks. I couldn't have done it without her!

It went really well with Janet. I really liked her a lot. I worked with her from September through November. I paid her the standard percentage of the sale of the house. She was a full service. She found the individuals to do the necessary repairs on the house to get it ready for selling.

It was wonderful and it went smoothly. I recommend her highly because she knows the Sacramento area backwards and forwards. She specializes in the downtown/East Sacramento area and she knows all of the properties and most of the homeowners. She is a long time resident of East Sacramento.
