I  had bought a new garbage disposal through Amazon.  When Michael unpacked it, he saw that it wouldn't fit the existing piping because it had glued joints.  He said he wasn't qualified to do piping so I'd have to get a plumber to accommodate the one I'd bought.  I told him I had Amazon Prime and could return the one I'd ordered free, so he offered to go to Home Depot to buy one that would fit, recommending the mid-priced one.  He wasn't gone long, and got the new one installed promptly.  His rate is $100 minimum, and though it took somewhat longer than that with the trip to Home Depot, he only charged me for an hour, and didn't mark up the cost of the garbage disposal (he gave me the receipt).  He was also very pleasant, polite, and professional.  I am very glad to have found such a good handyman!

Everything went well, he was on time and professional.  Michael does excellent work.

Michael did an initial assessment and determined that work needed to be done on the shut off valve before he could replace faucets ... he advised me to call a plumber.   After the plumber completed this work, Michael returned and replaced 2  very old faucets ... one for the kitchen sink and the other over the laundry tub.   Because of the age of the faucets and my house, he found replacement faucets at New Home Builders (not big box stores).  He was neat and professional.

He was always quick to respond to emails and text messages.  He showed up on time, and although I wasn't there to meet him at the property, I have not had a report from my tenants about a recurring leak.   Emailed receipt breakdown: $100 for the two-hour minimum, and $20.19 for the parts and fittings.    

building the counter with hard wood was a new experience for michael. he acknowledged that, which i appreciated, and did a fine, careful job.
he is easy to communicate with and worked to achieve what i wanted responsibly, carefully, successfully.

In my garage, I needed deep shelving to organize my camping gear and other items that I was storing there. The shelves turned out great and meet my needs perfectly. They are incredibly solid and can stand up to the heaviest gear. The job was completed quickly, and he even started filling up the shelves with the stuff that was piled around the garage.

In my kitchen, I had a very odd opening in the end of the built-in breakfast bar/counter that divides the kitchen from the dining room. Michael designed an amazing slide-out spice cabinet that is better than I could have imagined. It has a shallow shelf on top for all my spices, a medium shelf in the middle for oils, vinegars and similar bottles and a deep shelf on the bottom that I found works great for liquor bottles and other larger bottles like cooking oil. It not only looks like it was always part of the kitchen, but it's very heavy-duty, meaning I never have to worry about what I put in the shelves. I couldn't be happier.

I was very pleased with Michael.  A pleasant, reliable guy.  I will definitely use him again in the future.  I recommend him highly.

Michael agreed to an estimated price prior to doing the work and actually completed the work in a shorter period of time than estimated and he reduced the estimated charges to match the actual hours charged, saving me over $100.00 from what I was prepared to pay.
I found Michael to be professional as well as personable and will definitely use him again for any handyman chores around my home.

He arrived on time, was professional, got to work quickly.  I was extremely happy with the repairs.

He is pretty good, nice, and quite flexible.  He told a little bit more about what we needed to have done and he was pretty good about sticking around and getting the job done after we had an issue and a change that needed to happen.  His price was pretty good.  He was on time.

We needed a door replaced in our home. This was a door to our outside patio from the garage. The original homeowners used an old interior door, and it did not stand up well to weather, nor did it have a proper door frame.   We called Michael at Happy House for this after hearing about him from a friend. After telling Michael what we wanted, he took care of everything. He purchased the door and the frame. He had the old one out and new one installed in a few hours, including the deadbolt and lock. Plus no mess left behind.   Michael was friendly and answered all our questions. He gave us a fair price and we would definitely use him again. 

This was kind of an odd job, since I was doing a lot of the remodeling work myself and just needed a hand with some of the cabinet and countertop work that I don't have experience with. Michael was willing to work with me and was not judgmental about the strange state that he found my kitchen in. The work that he did was performed neatly and cleanly, and he cleaned up after himself completely, even cleaning up the dusty mess I had created in the meantime. The cabinets that he installed are nicely done, the doors hang correctly and close neatly. That's a tough job in my kitchen since the cabinets are all frameless. Overall I was very pleased with the work that he did and would be glad to have him work in my home again.
