We went to granite outlet picked out our slab and waited for nearly an hour for someone to help us. Finally we wrote up our work order and were given a final price. Then another employee came over and told us we would have to pay more money because the first person did it wrong. Not only was this second employee extremely rude to us, she was extremely rude to her employee right in front of us. So we were taken over to the area to select our specific piece of granite. The chosen piece and back splash was labeled with a sticker, and we hand wrote our name directly onto the granite. On the installation day, we called the company to confirm our appt time for this day. We were told our granite was gone, sold to another customer, and that they would just pick one out for us and bring it out. And on top of that, we would now have to pay more money because our original 8 foot slab would now be a 9 foot slab and it was our s responsibility to pay the difference. Completely unacceptable. So due to the fact that we needed this job complete for a july 4th party the following day, we agred to let them bring out two slabs to choose from. Neither were to our liking, but our only other option given to us was to wait until august for granite outlet to reschedule this job. We chose a piece and the work began. The two installers smelled so incredibally bad like body odor and filth, my wife could not even be in the room. Not only that, one of them used the toilet in the bathroom they were working in, did not flush it, and left the toilet seat up. Even when they brought my wife in to show them the final work, the room reeked of body odor and there was urine left in the toilet. The plumber that came to install the faucets later the same day, commented that the granite had an odd brown hue that he stated looked as thougn it had been damaged by either the sunlight or some kind of chemical reaction. Overall a terrible terrible experience with Granite Outlet. I have an entire kitchen to be remodeled, and i will not use Granite Outlet.

The cost above includes tax.  I did the prep work myself, the people at Granite Outlet were very helpful, answered my questions for the prep, and were sharp.  I was able to choose the slabs, which were nicer than the sample.  The sub-contractor was Qyu Stone, and were generally very good.  The only negative was that, though they noticed the window still shelf was not level, they over shimmed it (but was better then before).  A better then expected cut, conforming to the wall,  on the counter extension, was nice.
I now have a nice kitchen and bath.

It did not go well for us.  We had other contractors and bills that we had to pay to have everything fixed.  They said it was 100% normal to damage everything.  Then he offered us only $20 for the curtains that they accidentally cut the strings on the curtains.  Granite outlet stepped up and then offered us $100.  It was their installer who came.

Other than occassionally having to wait a few minutes for service on a busy Saturday, we were very happy with the product we purchsed from Granite Outlet.  We did have to go back and get some sink clips which they happily gave us.  We also had a cut done on one side for an odd shaped vanity and were happy with the quality of the cut.

This is a huge warehouse with a huge selection of granite. It took a little asking to figure out what size slabs are where but the employees were super responsive. Once you figure out where you're going, bring a pad of paper a pencil to write down the slabs you're considering as the prices aren't readily available. Again though... staff is super helpful so asking "hey... what does this slab cost" isn't a big deal. I had another contractor pick up the slab for me so I can't comment on any other services Granite Outlette may provide. I will definitely be using them for my next project!

After looking at all of the granite options in the entire Sacramento area, we chose Granite Outlet to do our counters in our new kitchen. Going to Granite Outlet is not for the faint of heart!! Our first visit was in the fall of 2012 and though their pricing was great the warehouse setting was chaotic. We found many beautiful patterns of granite but our project had not yet begun so I used the time to go to other suppliers in the area to compare....no comparison. On our second visit I began a dialog with Chi and found her to be very informative and helpful. The pattern we had chosen was not in stock but when their shipment arrived she called promptly and we were able to go to Granite Outlet and, literally, hand pick each piece. Picking your stone is the challenge....with a business like Granite Outlet one must be proactive and work to make your selections; considering where seams will be joined, etc. We are confirmed DIYers so this was a great experience for us, but it is understandable if tasks such as changing your own light bulbs is your challenge, Granite Outlet might not appeal to you!
After making our selections, we were shocked  that they were able to install within the next week!  The team that is used by Granite Outlet is amazing.  All fabrication was done on site with speed and accuracy.  They were so considerate of our home, draping floor to ceiling plastic sheeting to help eliminate dust from the final fitting and detail work.  They worked tirelessly until all of the counters were completed and cleaned up behind themselves above what was expected.  The crew was extremely courteous, professional, and honest in that a couple of design changes were made on the spot before the counters were installed and the crew leader volunteered a price reduction because he was not going to do the work as costed out.  We were amazed at this honesty and concern for his client!!!
As stated using Granite Outlet is not for the faint of heart because you will need to be responsible for making decisions....however, if saving HUGE amounts of money and getting a beautiful outcome is your desire....GO TO GRANITE OUTLET!!!
We have another project scheduled this summer.....and it will definitely be another trip to GRANITE OUTLET!

It took longer than expected but that was because my countertops were not square and they had to be creative in the modifications they had to do.  Overall it turned out great and I was well informed throughout the process.

David, the person who gave us the estimate was prompt and gave me an estimate for installation. He told me to go to the warehouse/showroom to pick the color and he figured out how much granite would be needed and gave me the price for the color I chose $1200) for the granite and sink). 2 installers arrived on the pre-planned day and spent 12 hours there until they finished the job (it is an old house that is not square or level and it was a U-shaped kitchen counter top). Looks beautiful! The installers did not speak much English but one of them could communicate well enough to get questions answered. They were polite and efficient and worked hard. Had called a different company for an estimate but he never returned my calls or email so it was nice to have this company work so well. Only took a week from quote to installation.
