Goodwin-Cole - STAY AWAY is my advice; You are forwarned Our Law firm spent well into 5 figures with Goodwin-Cole (referred by our architect) for battery operated shades when our space was built out. One of the shades (will there be more in the future?) simply fell completely of its roller after only ~2 years of service. GC at first says "...too bad we no longer service these shades. Call someone else..." When pushed to consider making this situation right, they send a 'proposal' for ~$2,000 (that's TWO THOUSAND) to put one shade back onto the roller! Are you joking, I asked? Jeff the customer service guy calls - and then proceeds to hang up on me - of course I was angry as he explained he could do nothing else - yes I used salty language as anyone would in this situation....Is it a surprise that consulting the BBB website show GC to be 1) not registered with BBB; 2) not properly licensed in 2006 and 3) unresponsive to past customer complaint. Please - for your own safety - STAY AWAY

The Goodwin-cole team was excellent - always punctual, responsive, and always kept their word.  They came out 2-3 times so we could make some adjustments and review the plan (it was a big commitment for us!).  They helped us come up with the final design since we knew nothing about iron fencing and gates. We finalized the project and waited a few weeks for the install which came right on schedule.  The installation team was great - clean, professional, and handled a couple of curveballs that came up during the install really well.  They worked hard and fast and had it all installed in a few days.  There was a bug in one of the keypad gate locks and they came out and replaced it right away. I'm not sure how the price compares since the two other quotes I got from other companies were 1. wrong (all chainlink); and 2. non-existent (for the one that never got back to us). I would highly recommend Goodwin-Cole for their quality work, responsiveness, professionalism, and patience!

A representative came out, discussed what we wanted, made suggestions, took measurements and photos. Within two working days, he submitted drawings and a detailed proposal, with no obligation. The cost exactly matched our estimate. In about 5 weeks, Goodwin Cole called to set a time and date for installation. The two representatives were on time and completed the task in about 2 and a half hours. There was no mess and nothing to clean up.
The new awnings match the exisiting awning perfectly. The fabric used when we had our exisitng awning recovered about 2 years ago either does not fade or fades very little, which made the match of colors easy. The representative also pointed out that the new awnings have gor tex thread, and a fabric expected to last for ten years.
We have been making home upgrades and improvements now for the last two years. This was by far the easiest one on our part.
We are very pleased with this purchase and service. Goodwin Cole is, I think, a family business and are real pros when it comes to awnings.

This was an exceptional experience. We had concerns during the installation that were addressed on the spot, immediately! There were unavoidable gaps on the corners we were concerned about. Our sales professional provided the perfect solution and we couldn't be more pleased. This was a perfect solution to not having enough room for large gatherings in the colder months!
