I contracted with them to re-do our pool, expensive, $49,000. But they did a poorly run, buffoonish, constant mistakes operation! Took months, they made mistakes, I eventually had to hire another group to correct their errors. Don't do business with them! It is a nightmare, and like me, you may have to find others to correct their mistakes.

Working with Geremia Pools and Landscaping has been a nightmare! We began our project in 2021. It is now 2023 and we still have an incomplete front yard, backyard, and new pool installation. We have damage to our preexisting property and many defects. Very few things went smoothly on our project. When we signed our contract, their website quoted a 10-14 week pool build time, boasted about their expertise, the number of years they have been in business, the quality of their work, and that they do not use subcontractors because “building a quality pool means never taking shortcuts, using subcontractors may save builders money, but it also means chances for mistakes. We don’t take chances with your project.” Our experience has been that Geremia representatives are difficult to get on the phone, do subpar work, use subcontractors, and our contract for the pool was just under 6 months not 10-14weeks and they still weren’t finished six months after our contractual end date with no updates on a new projected end date from them. THAT IS A YEAR AFTER BREAKING GROUND WITH NO POOL!!!. We have long cracks all over our shotcrete pool shell that have been tested by an engineer and found to go all the way through. Geremia offered to fix the pool cracks with epoxy injection which was referred to several times in my research as a “band aid fix”. This pool is supposed to be brand new! We wanted to test to make sure there wasn’t an underlying issue with the shotcrete itself or the soil on our property that could cause continued cracking in the pool that may result in a leak and/ or may have required a change in the engineering of the rebar or shotcrete strength. Geremia didn’t want to test anything. Our site supervisor didn’t meet with us before our project began, never responded to a single email I sent that I can recall, and was rarely on our property to oversee the work being done or address all the issues. I was the one reporting issues. Unapproved deviations were made from the plans including attempting to install our skimmer in the wrong location, building a wall in the wrong location, and installing an unnecessary electrical outlet under our water spigot which was a safety concern. There were additional safety concerns and liability risks for us because they didn’t have up temporary fencing to keep people out of our construction site, their subcontractors didn’t put up cones, fencing, or caution tape around our fresh concrete in the front, and they weren’t going to do a second inspection of our ground bonding after ripping out the first. There were issues with our design plans that leave us with bubblers in our cabo ledge that will not function as they are supposed to, a bench in the deep end that we did not want and were told is required by law (which is not true), and we had concrete columns floating over our waterline where swimmers could hit their heads. I asked that the wall be moved back far enough for the columns to sit back flush with the edge of the pool to eliminate the safety hazard and was told that could not be done because it wouldn’t pass code. A city inspector confirmed that was not true. Brandon Ellis, who we were led to believe is a Geremia employee, hired an unlicensed company to do our dig (which he has been cited for through the CSLB). We were sent a duplicate invoice for payments already submitted and invoices for work not yet completed in full and with defects. Several of their reviews are written by employees, family, Facebook friends, etc. without disclosing their associations as required by the Federal Trade Commission. I could go on and on about this company’s unscrupulous business practices and poor workmanship! We were not able to use our backyard for 16 months and we still don’t have the benefit of any landscaping or use of our pool (if that is what you can call it in its current state). I am back to a dirt lot which is a worse position than when we started. They have not been out to do work on our property since approximately October of 2022, have not worked with us in the testing of our property to determine the appropriate path of repair, declined mediation, and threatened to send us to collections. We have had to spend tens of thousands of dollars hiring a lawyer, an engineer, a pool expert, and company to test the shotcrete and soil. Our home, which used to be our safe haven and place of peace, isn’t anymore. My business is suffering. My family is suffering and there is no end in sight.

After the bid was made, but rejected salesman insisted that I should do the 'right thing' and pay him $300 for consultation. There was no previous mention that there would be a FEE, FYI His bid was over 11k more than closest bid PLUS there were many items priced with a 'question mark'. Who know what the pool was REALLY going to cost. The bid also included almost 3k for travel. If Shingle Springs is not in their area he could have told us. I have added the sketch that Ray is claiming should be $300, Again this was a bid, nothing was mentioned that there would be a fee for a bid

A woman from Geremia came to our house to talk about what work needed to be done, asked us for a $300 check if we wanted them to draw up a proposal and plans. She was very adamant about getting a check. We agreed, and gave them $300. We received NOTHING in return. Not a quote, not a phone call, not a proposal. We basically paid $300 for her to come look at our pool for a few minutes and do nothing. That was last spring (March or April or so?) It is almost October. I've left several messages since then, and not one has been returned. She got her $300 check, and that's all she cared about. It makes me wonder if something else is going on; this is usually what happens when someone really needs money for something else, and is using Peter to pay Paul. Very disheartening; we chose them because we grew up in the area and were familiar with the name.

Dee Geremia came out several times with pool plans for us to look at. Each time we had her make changes to the plan as the pool evolved. We were offered a fair price which we accepted. We are under contract for a pool and are waiting for excavation work to start. Dee was always prompt about making changes and always showed up on time. She is very professional and knowledgeable, always pleasant, friendly, and has a lot of patience. Geremia has an excellent reputation and we are sure we'll be happy with the pool.

Its a great company.  We have bought 3 houses and they have done the pool in each one. I have a business contract with them so they come every week and do service on my pool. They clean the filter and do the chemicals so I don't even have to think about it. I pay a monthly fee. It is a $125 a month. That includes chemicals. Whatever needs to be done they just take care of it for me. The price is fine. I would use them again. 

Its a good company they have been around over 50 years. They are a very well known name here. I have used them 3 times to build a pool so obviously I trust them. The workers are very professional.

They did a great job. I am hoping I never have to put a pool in again, but if I had to I would use them again. They were very prompt. I would say it took 3 months to put the pool in. There were many people that came out to do the work. I would say 20. They were professional.

I called them twice and didn't hear back.  Third time and talked to wife, one of the owners.  They emailed me a list of features.  Then I never head back.  It's been 7 months now.  They must make a lot of money and not need anymore.

While I didn't end up choose Geremia to build my pool, I found the presentation of material to be extremely professional.  From phone calls to their website - they clearly know what they are doing.  And they are innovators in the business using geothermal pool heating.  I can't attest to how that works - but sounds pretty awesome and unique... I like that.
They have been building pools forever and they are doing one down the street.  Obviously, I can't comment on how it is working out, but they appear to be doing a nice job and taking care of the customer's property.  That is a big deal... as fixing your front yard after excavation is difficult!
