Not great, door is noisier than the 17 year old door it replaced and twice as noisy. Tracks are too short, according to installer, I agreed. Installer mentioned bad hinges, only had one on truck, he replaced. Said they would be in touch about the other as well as tracks. Also asked for a price to have an insulation kit installed, never heard back on either. Would not recommend.

The original appointment was for Tues, 10/17, between 8 and 10 AM. They rescheduled to 10/19 between 8 and 10 AM. Then that was rescheduled to 10/31 between 8 and 10 AM. The technician, Joseph arrived on 10/31 around 9:15 AM, as scheduled. Joseph appeared to be quite knowledgeable and completed the tuneup by adjusting the spring to balance the door and by lubing the rollers and hinges. However, the next morning the door would not come down. I called early on 11/1 and made an appointment for Joseph to return on 11/2 between noon and 2 PM. On 11/2 they called and rescheduled for 11/6 between 1:30 and 3:30 PM. Joseph arrived around 3:15 PM and made further adjustments on the spring and things were working fine. Although the re-scheduling was very annoying, the technician, Joseph finally left us with a working garage door. His work is the reason I would hire this company again, provided the price was right.

My garage door would not go down when I pressed the fob or door button and I called them to fix it. They came out about a 2 months prior to replace my spring and then I had problems shortly after with my garage door not going down. The repair guy said I needed to shave down the panel because it was getting stuck as it went down. He said he would do that for $85.00. I said I can shave the door panel myself if that was the problem. I did and it didn't solve the problem. I called someone else who said you don't shave panels the door has adjustments to move them out because many houses have this issue and you don't shave down your house. He said the sensors needed to be adjusted and he fixed them and the door works fine. I cannot believe I was charged $29.00 for them to come out and not know about the adjustments you can make on the door tracks and on top of that not check the sensors which was the problem. This business is a rip-off.

Since Garage Door Repair obviously did not want my business, I went with a different repair company. Thanks CJ's Garage Door Repair, my garage door & opener are now fixed and working like new.

It went well. There was a slight hiccup on the garage door when my door would go up, so the tech added the two beams which took out the hiccup. There was a slight bow to the door so the beams took care of that problem.

The tech, Adrian, arrived within a couple of hours and in no time at all had it closed and secure. I could see that the old door panels and hardware had just plain worn out. I asked what my options were and he explained that since the existing motor seemed to be working ok, I could just have the door panels, tracks and hardware replaced. No up-selling at all. I liked that! He was back within 48 hrs with everything needed to get the job done and finished the job in about 3 hours. And the price was affordable too. I hope I won't need a repair on the door for a long time, but I'll sure recommend these guys to my friends and neighbors!

He said it would be more expensive to fix what was wrong then to just get a new opener. He gave me some estimates on a new one.

We called them around 6 pm in hopes that they could send someone the same day because we needed to take our kids to school in the morning and we also had to go to work. They could not get anyone to come that night but they sent someone to at 6:30 in the morning to make sure our routine was not interrupted. He was very knowledgeable and courteous. Would definitely recommend and use them again. Hopefully not for a while. ?

We had an Angie's List coupon for garage door repair, and Sac's Garage Door Repair has an A rating with Angie's. A man named Adrian completed the repair and charged us $129 over the coupon amount, which seemed high. He also said we needed new springs on both doors. We produced a receipt showing that we'd had new springs installed in 2014, and then he said the springs were old based on dates. He said the springs showed dates of 2005 and 2011. We assumed that meant the first company had not replaced our springs, or replaced them with used ones. That is not true. We now know there are no dates on garage door springs. We feel he was either incompetent or lying to us in order to get us to buy springs unnecessarily. Would never hire again based on that.
Response from Garage Door Repair

"Hi [Member Name Removed] and Thank you for your response. You are unfortunately wrong about dates on springs. Most residential Spring have a date stamp inside the wingding cone. Unfortunately some companies will install old springs because they do not always look that old or the customers does not pay attention or know what to look for. You can usually tell the bad ones by the warranty or lack there of. As far as the additional charge Adrian Changed was for additional repairs on your door outside the said coupon/tune up deal via Angies List. I hope this help. If you have any further questions please call us anytime. We can Also help you find the date stamp on your spring."

Prior to the tune-up, my garage door kept stopping randomly upon closing and would rebound open. The tune-up fixed the problem for about 5 days. I contacted another repair company who used a better grade lubricant, and lo-and-behold a month later, garage door works fine. The $49 special was a waste of money since they are using second rate lubricants!
Response from Garage Door Repair

"We use the highest grade White lithium and PTFE lubricant on all our tune ups. I f someone else told you that there "High Grade Lubricant" made your door work correctly or stop opening randomly, they simply lied. Lubrication has nothing to do with your door opening and closing on its own; this is usually caused by frequency interference of a short circuit at the wall button or a faulty Circuit Board. I am sorry you were convinced of untruth from another company a simple call to our office could have saved you another service call to another company."

I'm glad I did this. I mentioned the door was noisy and "jerky". This was caused by worn or bad rollers some of which were not rotating. These were replaced at a very good price. Now the door runs quietly and smoothly.
