Friendly Neighbor Fence Repair

Abe was very professional and did a fantastic job. This is the second time we have used him and we would not hesitate to call him again in the future.

Mr. Olenslager arrived right on time, and started the work immediately.  He installed the fence posts and the board  and secured the fence panels as needed.  The work was completed in about 2 to 3 hours.  Afterwards he cleaned up the work area and left it very neat.  He also took away some extra wood panels that I had been storing free of any charge to me.  He was very professional, courteous and kind.  I will refer him to some of my neighbors who need some fence work done.
I am more than satisfied with his workmanship, and will use him again for future fence repair needs.

I used mr. olenslager because he was recommended by a fencing company for small fence repairs. I thought his original estimate was high but I went ahead because he had been highly recommended. (There were some extras for which I thought his charges were also too high. Among other things, he bought some paint and chaged me for it but did not show me the receipt.)
He did repair the gates and latches, although I had been hoping for a solution other than wire to open the latch. We've had people complain this hurts their hands. But he told me there weren't any other solutions. I will assume he was correct and his other work was acceptable. I really can't judge.
He was not on time, either for the day he was to come for an estimate or for the day he began work. He was quite late each time. This was an annoyance in general but also, because he said he was coming at 8 am, I had made a special effort to get up early to be available for him.
My biggest complaint is that he or his helpers dumped wood scraps from the gate doors into our "yard waste" bin which is clearly marked, in huge letters, that it is for yard waste only (grass clippings and the like), not garbage. He had no right to put fence scraps here. He did not have my permission to do this. Had the City seen this, we could be fined. I had to go into the bins and take out everything they put into the yard waste bin and put it into the garbage bin. This was an annoyance and a hassle. This is a sign of complete UN-professionalism. All he had to do was ask where to put the wood scraps and i would have shown him. This is NOT proper workmanship.
I will NOT use him again and I do NOT recommend

He gave a reasonable estimate, showed up on time, went over choices with me, and I am going to hire him.

Abe and his crew did a very great job. He came out and gave us a quote for what we needed done and did not try to push other work that was not needed. Price was very reasonable for the amount of work that we needed done. Abe came out on a Saturday afternoon and worked until night to get the job done in one day. Quality of the work done was excellent and we are very happy. Would highly recommend him for any fence repair that is needed.

All of the repairs went really well.  They look great and feel solid. Abe has a really slick system where the posts are replaced without disturbing the landacape or fence panels too much.  The repairs feel really solid.   The gate swings smooth and latches perfectly.  They worked swiftly, and they cleaned up well as they went along.

Abe was on time as was his assistant. They were extremely professional and did first-rate work. I was very pleased with the results and would use his services again and recommend him to my friends. A+!

It went great. Abe was punctual and very professional. Did exactly what we talked about and did it to perfection. I have many rules in my community and it was never a problem. I was very happy with the price and would not even consider using anyone else. I had him look at a couple other things and he gave me good advice. On the way out he saw a board that was coming loose in another area and quickly fixed that. Glad to have found this company.

As mentioned above. Abe turned up on time with his assistant. THey were both very professional and had the fence repaired and new panels installed together with the four posts. Friendly and efficient. Would definitely recomend them and use them again (inshallah I shan't have to do this very soon).

They worked for most of two days and did everything we asked. The home has a very large yard with lots of old fencing - to replace it all would have cost us a fotune and was just not possible for us at the time. Abe did what was needed and used what he could of the existing fence. He also "cleaned up" old patches/repairs that looked awful.

Abe came out and gave a bid of $100 to do the work that he saw. We said ok and he gave us a start date, which he did not honor and did not tell us when he would be there. Eventually he showed up and got started. Once he started the work, he claimed that there were more posts than he had counted originally and wanted another $170 for the job. We said ok again. He did a bit more work, then said he'd need $200 more to replace some other boards. This was getting pretty frustrating, so we said just finish what we have paid for and then stop working. He stopped working alright... apparently without doing much more work at all. We then found that he had replaced only one or two posts; the wood did not match very well; and the work was pretty sloppy. The fence looks worse than when he started the job. BAD! BAD! BAD! Do NOT hire this guy!
