The estimate went fine, then I had to continue to follow up with progress. Installation was much later than expected and the date that I had taken off work because we had an agreed date for installation ended up being the day they built the gate. Then I was hounded for installation date.

There is much more to this story, but I am choosing to not write it out...

Barry and Drew were good guys to work with and the gate is nice, but many issues that are not even included in my complaints made me very unhappy with the situation.

I am a senior without much knowledge of building, I just knew what I wanted it to look like when completed. I worked with a handyman, not exactly DIY but close. The handyman and I went to several stores but we picked Fence World because they were interested in our project and actually took the time to help us figure it out. We kept the piece of paper with little drawings and measurements through the whole project and it came out beautiful.
Don't settle for something that isn't what you intended. One company had very young employees and they told me I could only use standard sizes, nothing could be cut, it was kind of and quot; take it or leave it - this is all I gotand quot; attitude. Fence World cut the gate to the size I wanted, suggested product, explained to the handyman what materials he would need and how to go about the project. I plan to do another larger gate for the other side yard and will use them again..

Excellent. 3 workers arrrived on time. Very professional in every way. Took care of details I thought would be problematic without blinking. Couteous. Clean-up was immaculate.

We had some initial problems with scheduling, but these turned out to be a personnel issue that was quickly improved. Their price seemed on the high end of what I was expecting, but I suspect this is just an expectation problem on my part. The quality of the work is great; the posts are solid, the gates work well, and we feel much more secure now that they are up. They even did some smaller detail work that made for nice touches that we weren't expecting. We love our new gates and are very happy that we used them for this job. The only (minor) annoying problem is that they didn't haul away the old driveway gate. Not a big deal, and we didn't even talk about it, but I would have preferred that. Maybe I should have asked them!

I signed the contract in March and was told that it would be approximately 2-weeks for installation. It's now May 14th and the work still hasn't been completed. I've been waiting for 2-weeks for the deadbolts to be installed. This business is 'not' customer friendly.
