Upgraded all plumbing and electrical outlets. Refinished walls and flooring. Covered old window and built a new door with outside redwood deck. installed new appliances. Installed ceiling fan.

+ -1 moreGenerally for home repairs and remodels, this construction company is the general contractor and one other person. Weather permitting, they arrived regularly each morning from the beginning and worked through every day. I outlined a general plan regarding an arbor. Emmett came up with a design, a plan and a price, and we were in business. Later, as the arbor went up, my vision expanded and I asked him to line the backside of the house in a stone half way. Again, we came up with a design, a plan and a price, and as soon as the arbor was completed, he and Bill commenced to work on lining the backside of the house and side and back of the garage in a very attractive stone half wall. I never had any doubts about the direction, pace or success of the two projects. I never found any reason to complain. With his experience and competencies, Emmett is capable of handling anything from a handyman fix to a total home renovation. He is particularly knowledgeable and skilled, in my experience, on older homes as found in Curtis Park.
Description of Work: The contractor created a beautiful arbor along the backside of my house. Then he created a stone half-wall along the back of my house and along the garage, elegantly unifying the outline of my backyard. Over the course of four months, he was able to complete only the first arbor and the stone half-wall along the house and garage. Time-consuming and somewhat difficult to accomplish, especially in irregular winter weather. Thoughtful and considerate, Emmett is experienced in a variety of construction trades and has long term relationships with a variety of tradesmen in the area. For example, he arranged for an electrician to set up electricity to the garage which brought additional power outlets to the backyard for lights and a fountain. Boisterous and creative, Emmett brings a wealth of experience and competence to his work. Practical and responsive, he always goes the extra mile. For example, while his work was underway, he organized a labor pool to be available to assist the plumber installing new water pipes in my home. Without a doubt, he'll leave your home a better place.
