 + -1 moreWe love Emigh's and make them our first source for all of our hardware and garden needs and more. We visit the store every month or two and more often than not browse the garden area and specials/sales, and have done so for over 30 years. We also appreciate the $5 Rewards card we receive whenever we've accumulated enough points. They are such good folks that we shop there primarily and to contribute to keeping the small-ish neighborhood store in business. We couldn't give a higher recommendation so they are worth driving a longer distance in fact. Hope to see ya there!
Description of Work: Our local Ace Hardware store carries (almost) everything we ever need, and ALWAYS has knowledgeable and helpful personnel to answer questions and make suggestions and recommendations. They spend considerable time when needed to help us and are available all over the store. Obviously this is greatly appreciated, and is the opposite of experience with staff in the large stores like the Home Depot around the corner from our house.

 + -1 moreEmigh's is well staffed; it easy to find an employee to help or direct a shopper to specific product(s). The store is well stocked with quality merchandise of all sorts, both typical and hard-to-find hardware and gardening supplies and many unique items as well. It's a great place to browse and get ideas.
Description of Work: Emigh's just celebrated their 100th Anniversary! (May 2008). The staff is ALWAYS extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They are friendly and I am treated with courteously and respect. As a novice in DIY projects, I often have questions and staff takes his/her time to answer each one. Emigh's is pet friendly.
