Someone told me to ensure that the person who designed my plans knew how to swing a hammer so I didn't end up with some artsy, ethereal design that no contractor could build. Best advice I got in this process. Next best thing was finding Eric Rinchak to design my plans. I was fortunate to find Eric through a neighbor's contractor. I'd paid for some design work previously with less than positive results and was looking for someone who could complete the job. Eric agreed to take the job. He essentially started completely new plans and has adjusted and revised them as needed along the way to reduce construction costs and improve the design. He's been working with me for over a year and has been helpful, creative, patient, and extremely accommodating. The cost of his design expertise is also very reasonable. As bids came in over my budget, he worked with his contacts to determine changes that could be made to save money. When I changed my mind about some aspect of the design he understood and took care of it. If he had a better idea, he presented it. He's kept my best interests in mind all the way through the process. The quality of his work is impressive. He's efficient and responsive and cost conscious. He knows construction and has good contacts to get the answers if he doesn't have them, in order to get you the outcome you want. His help and expertise are invaluable. I just can't say enough about how great it's been to work with him or thank him enough for all his help. I highly, highly recommend Eric to anyone looking for excellent custom design work. Now, if I can just find a contractor I can afford...!!!
