Don's experience and professionalism was evident throughout this installation. The replacements were precipitated by a blown pipe under the bathroom sink. By the time we got the water off, the resulting damage led to replacement of the floor and installation of the new vanity and toilet. We had another plumber come out after the initial problem to replaced the nipple pipe behind the hot-water angle stop. What the first plumber failed to diagnose was that the failure of this pipe was caused by electrolysis rotting out the galvanized pipe to copper piping connection. Don do an excellent job of installation on the vanity and toilet along with fixing the hose issue with the dishwasher. More importantly, his diagnosis of the galvanized to copper electrolysis issue, led to replacement of all such connections in the bathroom-- including the one done by the previous plumber; who had replaced the hot-water connection with another galvanized fitting. The cold-water nipple that Don replace was just as rotting/corroded as the hot-water pipe that had blown off. Don's next visit to us will be for preventative maintenance replacing galvanized to copper connections that are present all over the the rest of the house.

Don scheduling was very flexible. He provided a consult free of charge and an estimate to do the work (parts and labor) to be done in advance of setting up a day to do the work. He came out on Saturday, which I appreciated so I didn?t have to take off from work (and this didn?t change his quote). He arrived at the agreed upon time and got right to work. He sought my opinion to find out how I wanted a drain to be situated before permanent changes. He finished in the time and at the price he quoted. He cleaned up after finishing up the work. He fielded some questions I had regarding other work I was interested in doing, educating me on some of the latest building codes for said work. He seems knowledgeable about his trade and does quality work. I would refer to a family member if they needed a plumber and would call him again for future work.

I was delighted to have a contractor who had experience with older homes and was familiar with the city's schedule for putting water meters on homes. He was able to make the valve functional and advised against further work because the city will be re-piping when a meter is installed. His knowledge was invaluable.

Don Rose is a very pleasant fellow who actually answers his phone. I called to have a bathroom sink unstopped and what I thought was a leaking toilet fixed. I also needed an estimate for a drip I can hear that I think is a leak from the shower. He fixed the sink drain and toilet on 11/11/13, but he did not have a the right size trap on his truck to fix the small leak under the sink. The charge for the sink and toilet repairs was $155.60. He only charged me $25 for parts when he returned on 11/14/13 to replace the trap and another small pipe under the sink. He patiently listened for the drip from the shower several times on both days, but the drip would not make a sound while he was at my house. I will have him return when the drip is consistent. He also patiently answered questions about whether or not some things going on with my washing machine were a plumbing problem or a washing machine problem. He said they were a washing machine problem.
