They did an excellent job on the oak trees, but we weren't as happy with the trimming of the redwoods. I would hire them again, but I would communicate more clearly how I would like the redwoods trimmed. They worked hard and were pleasant to deal with. They cleaned up after themselves.

The crew that carried off the debris had a great attitude and I really enjoyed them. I was a little put off by the man who grounded the stumps though. He wanted to argue about what work needed to be done. The price was also just a little higher than I thought it should be.

One of the best things that I like about Don and Son's is that they will work around my busy schedule. Their prices are very reasonable and they are never late. Another thing that is good about them is that they bring a chipper along to make sure everything is cleaned up well before they leave.

These people were very nice and they did show up on time. They did an excellent job trimming the trees. The trees look wonderful. I chose to use them for this service because they had done work for me in the past that was great. I was happy with how much the bill was for this service.

It was an absolutely great experience. Jon came out to look things over and give the estimate. I know nothing about trees (or even gardening) and I appreciated his expertise. I not only wanted the trees to look good, but not be damaged (which is why I got an expert!).I told him what I thought needed to be done and he advised me on what was best for the trees. The appointment for the work was made on a day that was convenient for me with my work schedule. They arrived a little early and Dan the foreman and I reviewed what I wanted done. They worked through until the job was completed--Dan worked side by side with the other 2 men--unlike some contractors who set the job up and leave (which can create problems). They removed every bit of material they trimmed out--there was not so much as a leaf left behind! My crepe myrtle is gorgeous and I can once again see my front door now that the bottle brush has been tamed. The trees not only look better, but they look healthier.

The day I called, Jon came out to give me an estimate. His was the lowest of three at $425. When I called the next Monday to hire them, I mentioned the Angie's List discount and the price was lowered to $400 and the job scheduled for the next day. Jon arrived on time, along with two men, and they had the tree down, cut up and cleaned up in less than two hours. The stump grinder was busy on another project, so he came out the next day to finish the job. All workers were very nice and presentable, and all were careful not to trample my roses (which were in the way) and my other landscaping. The grinder was able to get the stump and roots out without even damaging my sprinkler lines! After each phase of the job, the area was left nicely clean and tidy. The grinder was careful to place a large piece of plywood next to where he was working so that no chunks would damage my home or windows. Overall, I was very happy with the service I received from Don & Sons.

I called them, explained the work and someone called me back and made an appointment for the next day to look at the job. They were able to work on Saturday when I was home. They arrived 15 minutes early with 3 guys. Two guys started immediately working on the hedge, while one guy trimmed a tree. Once the hedge was completed, they removed the citrus tree. The stump grinder guy showed up and worked on the hedge, then the citrus tree stump. They were professional, friendly and very hard working. They finished in less time than estimated and cleaned both the front and back yards. I was very impressed and would use them again.

Great! They provided an accurate estimate, performed the service, and cleaned up afterwords. Jon also offered some good advice for future maintenance that I can do. My wife and I were very pleased with the service.

Prompt call back and they offered estimate that was 50% LESS than some other bids I obtained. They explained upfront that they had a backlog of work and that I would need to wait 3-4 weeks for a service appointment; this was no problem. On appointment date, they showed up on time, worked quickly and safely and did an excellent clean up and haul away. Service was excellent and exactly what I had requested.

I used Angie's List to identify three potential vendors to work on my trees. I cross referenced them with the State Arborist site. I made three appointments for estimates. All three came within $100 of each other. Dons was able to give me a Saturday appointment. The other two did not. The workers showed up on time and were very hard working and professional. They not only took care of trimming, grooming and topping all my trees they left the yard cleaner than when they arrived. I would definitely recommend these folks to anyone. They also gave me advice for future care of the trees. I was impressed.

They were on time, efficient, and cleaned up rather well before they left the property. I got a good price that was further discounted.

THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME AND WERE VERY NICE TO ME. THEY CUT THE TREES DOWN AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THEY ARE REALLY RESPECTABLE. THEY BROUGHT THE CHIPPER TO MAKE SOME MULCH FOR ME.
