They came a week earlier to look at the job and provide and estimate. He set a work date with me a week later. The workers arrived at 8:00 a.m. and their supervisor introduced himself and had me walk him around the yard to show him which trees were being done and any special problems that needed to be fixed. Then they went right to work. They moved everything out from under the trees as best they could. They did their best to avoid walking on our roof as I had requested because the tiles tend to break. When they were done not only did I see no broken tiles, but they had cleaned all the leaves off the roof that were there before they came. I have a rich, thick garden and they did a marvelous job of staying off the plants and trying to preserve everything carefully. Nothing got broken (a good thing). It was a surprise when they were done as to how "clean" everything looked. On my chinese pistache they had taken it completely off my neighbor's roof (they weren't asked to do this) and he won't have to prune it back on his side for a few years to come. I'm sure he will be pleased when he gets back from vacation. Everything seemed to open up and let in more lights. That was the effect I was trying to achieve, so I was quite pleased. They recommended that we have them back in the spring to give the oaks a real clean up. Anyone with oaks will appreciate how many dead branches get in these trees over the years and it will be a good idea to do this. They didn't do it today because it was hot and they didn't want to stress the trees. I appreciated their concern with the well being of these old oaks. All of their staff were friendly and very pleasant. I felt comfortable with them around the house...so comfortable I fell sound asleep in the house and didn't hear them when they finished. Luckily, my husband had just come home and was able to do the walk-through and give them a check! :)

Couldn't believe how quickly they got the work done. Probably took no more than two hours to complete the work. Showed up on time (if not early) and took care of business. Was very pleased with the service.

The crew arrived on time, did very careful work, exactly as requested. They cleaned up the work site thoroughly, including leaves and small twigs that fell into the pool. With an Angie's List coupon, the price was remarkably reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

It went very well! They arrived on time and went straight to work. Frist they removed all my deck furniture to a safe place and then proceeded to cut back the broken branch which was leaning on the canopy of a smaller plum tree and on the trellis that covers part of my deck. They were VERY careful and managed to extricate the poplar branches from the plum with no damage to the smaller tree at all. Once the broken branch had been delt with the rest went quickly and they were completely finished in just under two hours. After they had removed all the wood they saw to it that everything they had cut was loaded into their truck and they cleaned and swept the detritus off the deck before replacing all my deck furniture.

The tree limb fell from an Oak. The service responded with an estimate quickly and then completed the work within a few days. My only concern was that they did not arrive at the appointment time, but earlier while I was not home.. While good for doing the job promptly, I had wanted to be present while the work was done.

They were on time, did a great job and couldn't be happier.

Very well. they arrived on time (even a little before) on the day we requested and were finished in a couple of hours. They were very courtesous, made sure out neighbor was satisfied as well as me. They did a great cleanup job - took out all the debris and chipped it onsite and left it clean. Even moved back some items from the fence that had to be moved away. The bill was exactly what we were quoted. We were very satisfied!

They arrived a little late, but they got right to work. The tree was cut down without damaging either our house or our neighbor's. They brought a shredder/mulcher and removed all the leaves and twigs with brooms and blowers. They even cleaned up the stuff that fell in my neighbor's yard. Later in the day, a man returned and ground up the trunk.

The job went well. The crew arrived at the scheduled time and promptly got to work. The crew seemed very organized and the work proceeded methodically. I left while the work was underway, and when I returned the job was complete. The crew left the work site clean and tidy. The limbs had been cut into fireplace lengths and piled exactly were I requested.

I had 3 gigantic and severely overgrown oak trees in my yard. I doubt if they have ever been attended to in their lives. These trees stood about 35-40 feet tall and were about the same size wide. It was quite apparent that they were hazards instead of the beautiful specimens God intended them to be. Jon Pace came out and educated me on exactly what I had, everything from the type of trees I have to what needed to be done to ensure the health and well being of each. A week later, I hired them. A 6 man crew came out on time and began to work. First inspecting the area around each tree then hanging tarps to protect the house along the brush removal exit paths. When it came time to trim the tree that was directly above the pool, before they began, they covered both the pool and hot tub with one of their huge tarps. Then once they were done trimming, they removed the debris that landed on the tarp then took some time to skim my pool. This I feel was above and beyond, I mean they are tree guys, but for a short moment, the same professional caliber care they had shown my tress was now focused on my pool! TOP NOTCH! When it was lunch time, I sat in my driveway with them and we talked. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversations we shared. Really nice guys. After lunch they completed the job by finishing the trimming, cutting the bigger pieces of debris to firewood length, raking the little stuff and hauling it to the chipper - which was a fascinating piece of machinery! Then replacing the patio furniture. These guys never slowed down! I was impressed! I hauled some brush piles for the exercise so I know how hard these guys worked. The way they organized the job site definitely made things easier and coming from a group of guys who have the experience they did, there was no question in my mind that they knew what they were doing. I was very pleased!

Our home is in East Sac and the trees on the property were put in approximately 60 years ago. Jon Pace came out on a Sunday to give us an estimate and the following Saturday. Don's personnel showed up promptly at 0800 and started immediately to work climbing and pruning the trees. They were very courteous in answering all of our questions. They were also very neat, removing the debris as it fell, grinding the limbs that they had lowered to the ground and even moving a table and hummingbird feeder so they weren't damaged. We've used this company repeatedly and they've always gone above and beyond what was expected. We wouldn't have anyone else do this type of pruning other than Don's.

Did a terrific job. Arrived on time and worked continuously until the job was done. Shaped the tree exactly as we wanted in accordance with quality arborist standards.

Owner is very pleasant to deal with on the phone. They were the last company able to come out and bid, and I was really glad I waited for them. When I decided to hire them I asked how soon they could get it out, and they did it the next morning. They had it out and cleaned up in about 20 minutes. They gave me some advice about how to kill the stump, as my budget was not able to have them remove it. Would definitely hire again. Their 10% Angie's List member discount is a nice bonus.

Dan came out and gave us an estimate on the work, he was friendly and professional, listened carefully to exactly what we wanted, and gave us a very fair estimate. We scheduled the work for two weeks out, on a Saturday. I called the company office and requested a copy of their liability insurance, and Jon provided that, as well as their W.C. and contractor's license info promptly. He was also very responsive in providing a written Arborist's memo we needed in order to get a permit for one of the trees to be removed. On the day the work was scheduled, the crew showed up right on time, got right to work, and seriously knocked..It...out! They were fantastic. It was almost 100 degrees that day, but they worked like sons o' guns all day and got it done. Not only that, they were pleasant to have around. They seemed to get along well with each other, work well together, and were friendly and informative when we had questions. When one of the trees we had intended to just have cleared of deadwood turned out to have too much damage to safely leave standing, the foreman, Robert, was willing to negotiate on the price to remove it. They cleaned up every spec of debris, blew off our deck, driveway and car, and left things cleaner than when they arrived. We were very impressed with the company and staff from start to finish. We would definitely hire them again.

They were fabulous. They were incredibly responsive, professional and their prices were fantastic. I was amazed at how cheap they were. I would absolutely use them again and would certainly recommend them to anyone needing tree service.

I thought they did a really good job. They were very nice and helpful. I've recommended them to other people. The only thing that was not good is that they came late, but otherwise they did a good job. Their prices were a lot less than other companies.

They came on time and got right to work. Very pleasant and professional crew. All debris was swept up and cleared away. No plants were harmed or destroyed! Nothing was broken! They were efficient and did the work that was on the contract AND removed a large palm frond that had been lodged on my roof since the big storm in January of this year. They also neatly wrapped a sagging cable line around my fence.

We had a limb that was split and part of it was falling. He did a good job. We were very pleased with his work. I would recommend him and use him again in the future.

They did what they were supposed to do. They were prompt and on time. Their price was reasonable. I was pleased with how well they cleaned up after themselves.

I really wish that I could give this company a higher rating as everyone that I spoke with seemed courteous and professional on the phone. The estimate was prompt and detailed, and service was scheduled quickly. However, they didn't show up to do the job when scheduled. They pulled a no call-no show on the first scheduled day. I finally called them and spoke to two people. The gentlemen I spoke with left a message later that evening that someone would be out the next morning. I waited the next morning, and waited and waited... I finally called them around 4pm when no one arrived to do the work and no one called to let me know what the delay was. I spoke with the same two people from the day before. Once again, they had no idea why my job wasn't complete. Someone made sure that a worker came over by 5:30pm that evening, but I felt that it was only in response to my phone calls. I am not convinced that anyone would have shown up if not for my contacting them. The work was performed, but dealing with the no call-no show behavior was disappointing and frustrating. There was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience and no explanation for the lack of communication. This was my first time using a company from Angie's List, and I went with them because of their good reviews and reputation here. The company is very proud of the Angie's association and even feature their Angie's List award prominently on their estimate paperwork. I can only hope that my situation was out of the norm for them, and I just had a bit of bad luck. However, I won't be using them again.

This is the second time I've used this company. The team showed up exactly on time with plenty of people to get the job done. The trimmed back the hazardous branches, as well as a couple of others they thought would help the overall look, balance and health of the tree. They didn't charge us any extra for those other branches. While on the roof, they warned us about a needed roof repair (they didn't cause it). They worked quickly and safely. Both times they've worked for me I've been impressed at how efficiently they work together and how well they clean up the work site afterwards. They were in and out of there in about an hour and the tree looks great now!

Don's workers did a great job. Don himself came out when he said he would and gave us the estimate, then let us know when they could do the job. They came as promised, did a wonderful job of trimming, and cleaned up perfectly. All the branches they removed were chipped and removed - not left in the street as some tree trimmers seem to do. All in all, we were very pleased with the job.

They did a great job! I was so very happy! They trimmed the tree in the back that had branches going over the pool and house. They also gave recommendations for two other trees on my lot for next years trimming. I just bought this house and was not sure of the type of trees and they educated us about the trees and care of the trees. Excellent price and they cleaned up everything and left the back spotless.

Very well - sumac was overgrown and not too attractive. Didn't realize it was such a nice looking tree until after they trimmed it. Trimming involved removing one major branch, clearing out some of the inside limbs and lighting the canopy. They also gave me advice about many of my other trees and which might eventually have problems or need upkeep. More chit-chat and not a sales pitch. Everything looks great, they came on time, were professional and they "sculpted" it nicely instead of just whacking off a lot of stuff. Also removed a small ornamental plum tree I didn't want just because it made their trimming easier. No extra charge.
