They were excellent all the way. They were supposed to come on the 3rd but they had a mechanical problem so he made a special effort to come on the 4th. There was some concern over some brush that over a fire hazard so he came out and got it taken care of. He also gave an Angie's List discount. They did an excellent job at clean up.

The gentleman who came to do the estimate knew his trees. He just looked at mine and accurately told me when it had last been pruned. The price was fair. The crew (3 guys) that came to do the work were courteous, did a good job, good clean up and even did a little extra - put a couple of nails in a board on my fence. I was totally satisfied.

Jon was on site to give me an estimate the day after I called him. His crew was on site to do the work the day after I made the decision to use their service. When the job was done they did an excellent job of cleaning up my yard and roof as well as that of my neighbors. One of the falling palm fronds damaged a large patio umbrella in my neighbor's yard. They readily acknowledged this and agreed to pay them for the cost of a new one. This is the second time that I have used this company's services and have been very satisfied both times.

They were prompt in providing an estimate and performed the work the day after I told them I would contract with them. They were very professional, prompt, and did a wonderful job. The price was great for the amount of work done.

They came out last Friday provided a decent estimate. They performed the work this afternoon. They did an excellent job and cleaned up. Very happy and pleased....what more can you ask?

A company rep. arrived promptly when scheduled to provide quote. Work was scheduled a week later. The the three man crew arrived promptly as scheduled. Work was started immediatlely and took approximately 2 and 1/2 hours. All three crew members worked hard and consistently as a team. The job was completed as I had requested. Clean-up was complete and excellent. I was impressed by this crews professionalism and the quality of the work. The price was fair. I recommend Don's Tree Service unconditionally.

A very windy day broke a large and heavy branch from an alianthus next to our cottage. It fell on the edge of the cottage roof and on the way down took off a very large branch from a neighboring olive tree and damaged part of a large shurb growing in front of the cottage. I called Don's Tree Service in the late morning and had an estimator call me back and show up to evaluate the situation wthin three hours. Jon (the estimator) was very knowledgable and professional. He gave me an estimate on the cost of removing the fallen branches and the damaged porton of the shrub and a separate estimate on the cost of removing the parent tree. I decided to only have the branches removed at this time. A three man crew showed up the next morning and finished the job in just over an hour. They were neat, friendly and efficient. I was particularly impressed by the way they carefully lowered the heavier logs off the roof with a block and tackle so as not to risk any damage to the deck. The supervisor got up on the roof, carefully inspected the area where the branch had fallen and was happy to report there was no damage! (Yay!) They removed all the wood and branches and swept the area. When they were done the only indication of the original problem was the scar on the trees where the branches had broken off. They did all this for a very reasonable price. When it comes time to take down the parent tree (or for any other needed tree service) I will definitely use these folks again.

They were quick and very professional! They did an excellent job and left my front yard nice n clean, minus ofcourse the tree! I would recommend them highly! Very reasonable price and great work!

Very quick in giving an estimate and in completing the work. Very curtious and left the area very clean. They even honored my last minute request to leave us firewood, and they cut the firewood very nicely.

They couldn't make it on the day they originally scheduled, but rescheduled for a few days later and arrived promptly. Jeremy was very courteous and professional, and the crew obviously knew what they were doing. I reiterated my instructions to not go onto my roof, and Jeremy assured me that they never go onto tile roofs. They did their work thoroughly and expeditiously, completely cleaned up, and even removed some branches I had previously pruned from another tree, without being asked.

They arrived on time, completed work as described in estimate and offered us advice on some other trees in our yard. They were courteous and careful with the landscaping around the trees.

Excellent. Arrived on time, did the work well and professionally, and cleaned up perfectly. These were old trees, and needed clearing out, as well. They did a very nice job.

This was a perfect experience. I called for a quote and they came to my home while I was at work the next day and left a quote for me. (I was thrilled not to have to take time off work for this.) I was very pleased with the quote and called to set up an appointment to have the work done. They were able to come on a Saturday just three days later. They gave me an approximate time of arrival and actually came a little early, which was great. They brought a large, incredible crew. In just over an hour they had removed a large redwood and trimmed and reshaped a large tree that hadn't been trimmed in years. They also took care of all of the mistletoe in that tree. They left the yard perfectly clean. There wasn't a stick anywhere to be found on the ground! Because of the bad weather, they let me know it would be better if they came back and ground the redwood stump later. They refused any payment until the entire job was done to my satisfaction! About two weeks after their initial visit, they came back and ground the stump while I was at work. (So again I didn't have to take time off to have the work done, and again the yard was left perfectly clean.) They left an invoice at this last visit. I can't say enough good things about Don's Tree Service. It was a great experience, and I would use them again every time I need this type of service.

Having a tree trimmed from this company was such a good experience! They were extremely professional and thorough and did an excellent job. They took care to trim the tree to not harm it and to keep branches under control as they were cut from the tree. They were conscientiousness to keep both our yard and our neighbor's yard free from debris and cleaned up thoroughly after themselves. The experience would have been great rather than good if messages were returned during the day rather than the evening -- I never did talk to a live person after the initial estimate was given, and if it hadn't taken so long for them to get to the job -- that took several months.

I requested a quote for the topping of three large tree branches on a tree approximately 50-60 feet in height. I was contacted by Arborist Jon A. Pace who came out to provide an estimate. I was not required to be there and Jon left a written estimate of $150 to top the tree or $400 to remove the tree and grind the stump. I decided to have the tree completely removed. They removed the tree and came back another day to grind the stump. They did and exellent job were curtious and did a nice job cleaning up the yard. I thought the price was good and it was even better with the 10% Angie's List discount. I would definetly use them again.

They were very responsive in providing the quote and service. Since they're out in the field during the day, they respond to phone messages in the evening (same day). They were very prompt and provided detailed information. On the day of the service, they were actually able to get started early. They were fast, efficient and cleaned up their work very well. Although I had only requested that one tree be done, they noticed another one nearby on the property that needed assistance and explained to my satisfaction why that one needed work. I'm very happy with their service and would most definitely use them again!

The experience with them was great. Jon came out at the end of October and provided an estimate for the work on the spot. We scheduled the work for a couple of weeks later since that was the first available appointment they had. The crew came on a Saturday morning and was punctual, professional and worked quickly. I am very happy with the work they did. These trees have never looked so good and well-shaped.

Called a couple of tree services from Angie's list. Jon came out and gave me an estimate and I told him if he wanted the job it was his. Due to our schedules we made the appointment for about two weeks later. Three of his employees came out and took the tree down. There was a cabana on one side, a pine tree on the other and about 2 feet from a fence. The three employees were very diligent in being careful not to damage anything around the tree. It took them approximately 3 hours, they were very careful and they did an awesome job of cleaning up the mess. I have already referred this company.

They were professional, responsive and punctual. Their pricing was reasonable as well and they waved off $100 as I?m a retired person. The quality of their work was good and I was satisfied with their service.

They provided a free estimate, showed up on time, did the job they said they would do, cleaned up and carted away all the debris and were careful with other plantings and the sprinkler heads. Very professional. One of my neighbors was so impressed, he asked for a referral, which I gladly gave him.
