Terrible- I will never use nor recommend Colonial Van lines as they were 3 weeks late in delivery and refused to honor the insurance claim for broken and missing items

Halfway into the morning, one of the manager showed up with another truck and dove right in without additional charge. The estimator had figured 3 men for 6 hours, and he was significantly off. But at the end of the day, Bill offered to honor the original estimate. That didn't seem quite fair, and I was going to tip anyway, so I came up a few hundred and everybody seemed happy. As a bonus, we had our rugs put to the side as we are waiting for the hardwood floor refinishing to cure. Manager offered to come back at no charge in a few weeks to help us move one last piece of furniture and lay the rugs down. None of our belongings were damaged, everything as put in place and reassembled, and the price was fair. Moving is stressful enough, and cross country movers eliminated much of this stress. Their delivery window for such a long move (over 550 miles) could have been the next day if we wanted. None of this nonsense about waiting 3 to 14 days for your belongings. I would highly recommend them for any type of move, local or long distance. They are great I have no hesitation in giving A+ review.

4 guys show up and meet my brother at his 1st house, he told them what we wanted moved and wrapped and left them there alone (nothing went missing). They showed up at the house that I was waiting at and they could tell I was clearly stressed, they had such good attitudes and assured me that I was not being a problem for them and they would be out of my way very soon. They moved very heavy pieces for me and they even helped me arrange the couches and all the furniture just the way I wanted them. When the tubes for the washer and dryer were not long enough they told me they could turn them sideways so I could still use them until I got the proper length supplies, which I told them would be great. They left me extremely happy and the house and furniture in the same condition that they picked it up in. I could not have been happier with my move. Highly recommending cross country movers to all.

The estimator came to my home on schedule and gave me a price soon after. When I decided to sell some of my furnishings instead of including them in my move, John reduced the estimate accordingly.I got estimates from two other moving companies, both of which were higher than Cross Country Movers' and neither of which was anywhere near as professional in its dealings with me. I was moving into an apartment building, which required documentation from the moving company and John took that burden away from me by handling it all. The move itself is what matters most, of course, and, again, they were professional, efficient and courteous. A team of three guys came to my home right on time, wrapped all of the sofas and mattresses in plastic wrap and took care with fragile items. Everything was packed perfectly from my kitchen, and moved without incident. Once we got to the apartment, they set up everything as I wanted, placing the large screen TVs on their consoles and putting all of the boxes in the appropriate rooms. I highly recommend them and definitely would use them again.

Having moved 4 times in the past 5 years, both local and long distance,  I know what a good and bad moving company looks like. Cross Country Movers is definitely a GREAT moving company.  From the start of the reservation to the time they dropped off our stuff in Sacramento from Texas there was great communication and efficiency.  We had Paul and two other guys at pick up and they were honestly great.  They fit so much stuff into the truck at the flat rate we didn't even need the uhaul I was going to get for the rest of our stuff.  Nothing was damaged and they took care to wrap up everything nicely and were professionals at disassembling and then reassembling things.  I asked Paul if it was possible for him to take down a lamp I have in the backyard for me and his reply was "Anything is possible".  That was the mentality of the whole move and I would highly recommend Cross Country Movers to anyone looking for movers!

It may have been Chris and John (?) I'm fuzzy on the names. They were great guys who were funny, helpful, friendly, and not creepy at all. Very respectful, no weird questions. They've got a great easygoing professionalism. We actually recommended to our new neighbors - and lo and behold! They used Cross Country Long Distance Movers a week later. At that time I'd just purchased a heavy a rustic wood futon. Seeing the big truck with " Cross Country Long Distance Movers" brightened my day. I knew my housemate and I wouldn't risk a broken neck or twisted ankle hauling heavy, cumbersome furniture upstairs. I flagged them down thinking I work out a payment for this task - all 5-7 guys just happily ran in and had the futon placed upstairs before I could finish trying to get some business settled - they wouldn't even take a payment! I tipped them out and away they drove, good deed doing, truckload of sunshine. If I ever move again or know someone in need of moving assistance- you better believe Cross Country Long Distance Movers will be the only call I make.

I have nothing but great things to say about Cross Country Movers!  They moved me from Sacramento to the East NYC area on a weekend in early November.  The moving team were fast, efficient, courteous and really went the extra mile to make sure everything went well.  Joseph even helped me with a last minute emergency need to drop off some of my furniture locally for a very reasonable slight extra charge.  I was not going to be at the destination up east when they arrived so they coordinated with my family for the delivery.The price was as quoted, no surprises, and no breakage or loss.  My sister is hoping to use them to move my niece from Sacramento to the NYC later this year.  I had a lot of very heavy furniture and stairs and these guys handled it carefully and with skill. Moving is never fun, but Cross Country Movers made it smooth!  I can't imagine things going any better than they did.  Thank you  Cross Country Movers, you are the best long distance movers in Sacramento!
