COLMENARES DECK COATING

Note: This review is about their stucco/plaster work, not deck coating or pressure washing. I hired Colmenares Lath & Plaster in 2016 for a full exterior stucco job on my home. A couple of years later, I started noticing issues — and now, nearly 8 years in, I’m dealing with over 100 nail pops at exterior corners and severe cracking in multiple areas. They came out once early on but only patched a few of the lower sections and missed most of the visible problems. During CSLB mediation, they offered to come back and patch the damage for $7,500, but did not address what I believe is the root cause: improper fastener spacing on the corner bead, which likely didn’t meet ASTM C1063 standards. The work simply hasn’t held up, and I’ve been left with a major repair bill and no accountability. I’m sharing this to help others ask the right questions before hiring. I wouldn’t hire them again.
