Except for one significant glitch, all went well.  The locksmith rekeyed the specified lockset and deadbolts and provided 10 new keys  to the tenants as requested by me.  The locksmith worked quickly and professionally and verified that each new key functioned properly.  However, my instructions to the company were to call the tenants to set up an appointment for the job, and I gave the company rep the tenants' phone number.  Nevertheless, the locksmith arrived at the rental house the next day totally unannounced and unexpected.  Fortunately, the tenants were home.  But, they were just about to leave on an important errand.  They were forced to abort their plans for the errand while they waited for the locksmith to complete the job.  They were quite unhappy about it and called me to complain.  I notified the company by e-mail of the problem, but never received any explanation or apology.  So, because their work was good, I would use them again -- but they wouldn't be my first choice.  I would first try another Angie's List provider.

Visited the shop and made an appointment. Service was conducted promptly and satisfactorily. Price was about 20% higher than what I was quoted at a different shop over the phone but decided to go with this provider based on immediate availability.

Our front door know was failing, so we called a local lock company and told them what we wanted (re-key deadbolts + install electronic key pad). They suggested we take pictures of the door & locks and come into their store on Monday. Which my husband did. The person at the store suggested that he go to Lowe's or Home Depot to buy new door knobs and then never called to follow up. So, my husband asked a contractor friend to recommend a locksmith. Certified Safe & Lock Service Co. was great. Prompt, professional, personable and performed the service.

The price was great. The actual price was half the estimate. They were prompt and helpful.
